When it comes to the left side of Slot’s defence, one man has been consistently linked with a move to Anfield and according to Liverpool journalist David Lynch, the transfer makes ‘too much sense’ to not happen.

Liverpool have been linked to Milos Kerkez for some time now as the Merseyside club set about trying to find Andy Robertson’s successor at Anfield.
Real Madrid have also shown an interest in Kerkez, but according to Liverpool reporter David Lynch, he “would not be shocked” if the Hungarian star is in a red shirt throughout the 2025/26 campaign.
“I just would not be shocked at all if it ends up being Milos Kerkez,” Lynch told Anfield Index.
“I’m kind of putting my neck on the line a little bit more because it’s just everything about it seems to make an awful lot of sense.
“The player wants to move, he would be willing to make that move, and Liverpool are in a good position.
The Richard Hughes factor and the fact that Liverpool are definitely going to sign a left-back.”
“He’s got Premier League experience, he is a really good age and all his numbers look really good on both sides of the ball.
So, like I say, definitely on the list, and I would not be shocked if he was the one that they ended up popping for.”
Should Kerkez arrive at Liverpool this summer, that would likely see another left-back depart the Merseyside club, and Lynch has also provided an update on this situation.
It was recently reported that Kostas Tsimikas would leave Liverpool if the Reds decide to sell a left-back before bringing in a new body.
This is a scenario Lynch also expected to play out with the Liverpool journalist also seeing Robertson’s minutes reduced next season, with the Scotland captain expected to have more of a rotational role with the new full-back the Premier Leaguer leaders bring in.
“I would expect it to be Tsimikas.
Now, obviously, I think he’s realistic in that he knows that Liverpool are going to sign someone who’s going to start a lot of games in that position, but I also think it signals a willingness to be there and be competitive.
