Kash Patel, director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), has gone viral after he was pictured wearing a piece of Liverpool FC clothing.

Patel, in a photograph which has been circulating on X/Twitter, can be seen wearing a Liverpool tie with red and white stripes.



The post now has more than half a million views and over 10,000 likes, with the photo sparking mixed reactions from Liverpool fans and eagled-eyed soccer fans more widely.

Some questioned whether the image was real but Patel has previously been spotted wearing the same item, back in December.
