Mohamed Salah has a chance to record some new milestones when Liverpool face Bournemouth on Saturday.

The Reds travel to the Vitality Stadium this weekend to face Andoni Iraola’s in-form side.

Both sides are enjoying a good run of form going into this tie.

But it is Bournemouth who have caught the eye lately.

The Cherries have enjoyed a surge up the Premier League table thanks to a run of eleven games without defeat (W7, D4).

The most recent of those wins came in a 5-0 win over Nottingham Forest, which lifted them into the top seven ahead of this round of games.

They will look to continue that brilliant run here against a Liverpool team that kept their six-point lead at the top of the Premier League table thanks to a 4-1 win against Ipswich Town last weekend.

The Reds suffered their third loss in Arne Slot’s era in the UEFA Champions League in midweek as they were beaten 3-2 by PSV.

However, the game bore little significance for Liverpool, so Slot was able to heavily rotate his side and rest some of his big players.

Mohamed Salah was one of such players who enjoyed a rare break, and he will come into this tie well-rested and looking to break more records.

The Egyptian has been in impeccable form this season and has the opportunity to make even more history against the Cherries.

Records Salah and Liverpool can target against Bournemouth

One such milestone Salah can hit on Saturday is becoming the fifth player to hit 20+ goals in five Premier League campaigns.

Liverpool’s NO.

If he scores against Bournemouth, he will join Alan Shearer (seven times), Thierry Henry (five), Sergio Aguero (six) and Harry Kane (six) in having recorded 20+ goals in five Premier League campaigns.

Salah can also move up to sixth place in the Premier League top-scorers list if he nets at the Vitality Stadium?

The 32-year-old has 176 goals, and he is also only one behind sixth-placed Frank Lampard in the division’s all-time top scorers list.

Meanwhile, Salah is the highest scorer in the history of this fixture, with nine goals in 11 appearances.

The Egyptian is also the only player to score a league hat-trick for Liverpool against Bournemouth, doing so in a 4-0 away victory in December 2018.

Elsewhere, Liverpool will look to make it 12 away Premier League games without defeat against Bournemouth, having won eight and drawn three of their first 11 away games this season. Only in 1987-88 (15) and 2019-20 (13) have they recorded longer unbeaten starts to top-flight campaigns on the road.

Liverpool have failed to score in only one of their 15 Premier League meetings with the Cherries, netting at least three goals in 10 of these 15 games.

Also, Liverpool have been dominant in this encounter, winning eleven out of the 13 head-to-head meetings between both sides (D1, L1), with that run including eight clean sheets and an aggregate scoreline of 42-6.
