Newcastle's Carabao Cup hero Dan Burn has admitted he had to limit his celebrations after the club's incredible win over Liverpool because he was reporting for England duty the next morning.
Burn's headers helped the Magpies open the scoring at Wembley with a header before Alexander Isak doubled their lead as the club won 2-1 despite Federico Chiesa's late goal to ensure their first trophy since 1955.
It capped off an incredible week for 32-year-old Burn, who was also given his first ever call up to the Three Lions after his impressive performances under Eddie Howe this season.
While many Newcastle players would likely have enjoyed a few drinks during celebrations that went long into the night, Burn had to be on his best behaviour, knowing he would be reporting for England duty at 8am the next day.

Burn told Sky Sports: "I'll be first there tomorrow [at England training] at 8 o'clock," with Thomas Tuchel set to welcome him into his squad ahead of World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Latvia.
Speaking about his incredible achievements in a short space of time, Burn admitted he felt like he was about to wake up from a dream and felt "numb".
Burn has had an incredible week after earning his first England call-up before scoring against Liverpool in the cup final.
Burn has been one of the most consistent performers in the Premier League this season after playing in all but one of Newcastle's league games, helping Howe's side climb to sixth in the table and well within a chance of claiming Champions League football.
Howe entered his post-match press conference drenched in beer, saying he had been soaked by Joelinton and his Newcastle team-mates, and he made a point of singling out Burn after his special moment.
"What a few days for Dan," said Howe.
