Newcastle provides the Reds’ next test at Anfield today.

Arne Slot’s side will be aiming to strengthen their hold on the title race - albeit without the head coach on the touchline - having gone 11 points clear of Arsenal at the weekend after the 2-0 win over Manchester City.

Alexander Isak has been in superb form this season, with only Mohamed Salah having scored more than his 19 league goals so far - Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate will have quite a task on their hands to keep him quiet.

And given all the talk of a potential transfer to Anfield recently, Liverpool might well be keeping a close eye on the Sweden international.

Having come close to making the switch to Anfield last summer, it will be interesting to see how he fares back on Merseyside.
