Feyenoord full-back Givairo Read has made clear his preference for Liverpool over Manchester City or Manchester United ahead of a potential Premier League move.
Read, 18, has broken into the Dutch club's first team this season, making his Champions League debut during their midweek knockout phase play-off tie first leg against Milan.
Since late October, the right-back has become a regular for Arne Slot's successor, Brian Priske.
However, the Reds head coach brought Read into the first team last season during his final months in Rotterdam.
The teenager made a matchday squad for the first time ahead of Feyenoord's Dutch Cup quarter-final win over AZ Alkmaar in early February last year.
Despite remaining an unused substitute, Slot entrusted the teenager to replace the injured Bart Nieuwkoop for the final minutes of their Europa League knockout phase play-off first leg against Roma at De Kuip later that month.
Read then remained a regular on the first-team bench for the rest of that season without making any further appearances.
Priske, however, has made the Netherlands under-19s international his first-choice over recent months, taking his tally of senior outings to 20.
After the latest against Milan, the Dutch magazine Votebal International gave Read a series of quick-fire questions to answer after the match.
Asked to choose between La Liga and the Premier League, there was no hesitation before choosing the latter.
Then, when tasked with deciding between Man City and Man United by the interviewer, Read went off script.
He let out a laugh before replying: "Liverpool, for sure!
Nothing else, no one else."
The Mirror now reports that Man United have been keeping tabs on the player.
However, they say the Reds could dash their hopes of luring Read to join them because of the player's apparent preference for the club Slot is now in charge of.
