Liverpool's Premier League victory has ignited euphoric scenes at Anfield, with fans revelling in the joy of the club's second title.
Never one to shy away from a dig, Gallagher took aim at Liverpool's relentless push for Premier League glory, confidently backing City to dominate under Pep Guardiola.
"I think [City] will win four [titles in a row]," he said on Sky Sports before the 2019/20 season.
It's too funny!"
He continued: "I don't think Liverpool will get near us.
The victory makes Liverpool only the fifth side to secure multiple Premier League trophies, joining the ranks of Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, and City.

It also brings them level with United in total English top-flight titles.
Sir Alex Ferguson once vowed to "knock Liverpool off their f***ing perch," but the Reds are now within touching distance of taking that perch back.

Despite his ill-fated prediction in 2019, Gallagher was at it again in 2021, telling talkSPORT: "I think with Liverpool, their best years were spent getting [to the title].
Now they're there, I think they're done." To be fair, City did end up winning four consecutive titles as he had forecast.
