Liverpool were today confirmed as Premier League champions after an emphatic 5-1 win against Tottenham.
The Reds came from behind to secure a famous result at Anfield to crown themselves as English champions for the second time in five years, with Liverpool securing the title with an impressive four games left to go.
Elsewhere in England today, though, Manchester City booked their place in the FA Cup final with a 2-0 win against Nottingham Forest, with Pep Guardiola’s side having a shot at salvaging something in what has been a season to forget.
And Guardiola addressed Liverpool’s title win post-match at Wembley with the two games ending at the same time.

Speaking to the press after City’s win against Forest, Guardiola issued a congratulations message to Liverpool on their Premier League title win, with the former FC Barcelona manager praising the Reds for being the best side in England this season.
Guardiola said: “On behalf of myself and all the club we want to congratulate Liverpool on the Premier League.
Hopefully next year we are going to be better.
But Liverpool, congratulations.”
City’s form has been a key reason behind Liverpool’s cruise to the Premier League title, with the Manchester giants falling off big time as Arsenal also fell by the wayside as Arne Slot took firm control of top spot in the standings.
Yet Guardiola’s message showed that the likes of City are impressed with what they’ve seen from Liverpool this season, and the Reds will be looking to go one better next year by retaining the title and going all the way in a domestic cup competition.
