Alisson was incredible at the Parc des Princes, recording nine saves, many of them spectacular.
However, the goalkeeper was not the only defensive player who did his job well for Liverpool.
Rio Ferdinand praised Trent Alexander-Arnold for the way he dealt with the pacy Khvicha Kvaratskhelia throughout the Champions League clash.
And asked about how he thought Alexander-Arnold got on during his post-match press conference, Arne Slot said he tended to agree with Ferdinand.

Alisson has rightfully taken the headlines after a mammoth display for Liverpool in Paris.
And although the Reds undoubtedly would have conceded had it not been for the Brazilian, the likes of Alexander-Arnold deserve praise, too.

Kvaratskhelia was dangerous all evening long, but he also didn’t have things all his own way.
Speaking post-game, Slot said he was pleased with the way his right-back responded to ‘one or two’ difficult moments to lock his winger down.
“I see the same thing during the season many more times,” said the Liverpool head coach when asked about Alexander-Arnold.

“There have been games – I think City away was one of them – where he was outplayed a few times but we didn’t concede that many big chances against City, so sometimes stats are not telling you the truth.”
“If he goes past someone in the width of the pitch, it doesn’t tell you that he’s outplayed,” added Slot.
“The stats that do matter, I just already said a few times, are clear that Paris Saint-Germain are this season incredible in Europe and in their league.
“Trent, in the first half, one or two times had some difficulties but in general he defended really well, especially also in the second half.”
One thing that was striking on the night was the difference in the pace of the two team’s forward players.
While Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah looked slow and cumbersome for Liverpool, Ousmane Dembele, Bradley Barcola and Kvaratskhelia flashed about for PSG.

Slot seemed to notice the same thing, praising the speed of the French champions after the game.
“They showed today – and I already knew it but the players saw it today as well, and our fans and all of England – that Luis Enrique made an incredible team here after three [transfer] windows,” he said.
