Ben Foster believes Liverpool are in an “unbelievable situation” when it comes to the position as Arne Slot has one of the best in the world in Alisson Becker between the sticks, with Caoimhin Kelleher to back the Brazilian up, while Giorgi Mamardashvili arrives at Anfield this summer from Valencia.
With a contract at Liverpool until 2027, Alisson is unlikely to be going anywhere until at least the summer of 2026, as that would be the ideal time for the Merseyside club to get the best fee possible for the 32-year-old.
The Ireland goalkeeper wants regular first-team football and ESPN FC pundit Shaka Hislop believes Kelleher is ready to leave Liverpool this summer.

Nick Pope is currently the Newcastle number one and although the English goalkeeper has been solid throughout his time in the Premier League, the 32-year-old has run into issues over the last two seasons.
Kelleher would be a good fit for West Ham given his age as the Irishman would give the Hammers years of service.
Potter also plays an attacking style of football that requires building out from the back, a trait the Liverpool goalkeeper excels at.
Former Chelsea star Chris Sutton recently described Kelleher as an ‘outstanding’ player after his heroics against Real Madrid in the Champions League in which the goalkeeper denied Kylian Mbappe from the penalty spot, and the West London outfit could be interested in the Liverpool star.
Although it is unlikely, Chelsea could be a possible destination for the Ireland international this summer as the Blues are likely to move on from Robert Sanchez as the Spaniard continues to experience a tough season at Stamford Bridge.
Whatever happens with the future of Kelleher, the Ireland international should have options, and that is the least the goalkeeper deserves after some incredible displays in a Liverpool shirt.
