Liverpool know they must bounce back after Wednesday’s heartbreak against Everton with another big Premier League game arriving on Sunday.

The Reds dropped points in the last seconds of the match at Goodison Park, but will be expected to put that out of their minds as Wolves come to Anfield.

With the visitors mired in relegation danger, there will be no excuses for Liverpool not to maintain their seven point lead over Arsenal at the top of the Premier League table.

The match kicks off a run of four games in 11 days for Arne Slot’s side, and as the Liverpool head coach ponders who to rotate and when, here’s the XI we think he’ll go with against Wolves.

There was little Alisson Becker could have done to stop James Tarkowski’s equalising strike for Everton in midweek.

The goalkeeper will hope for better luck on Sunday.

In front of Alisson we expect to see just one change to the back four from the Merseyside Derby.

Trent Alexander-Arnold was only deemed fit enough to play half an hour against the Toffees and with big games coming up, we think Slot will stick with Conor Bradley from the start.

Ibrahima Konate and Virgil van Dijk will likely remain the centre-back pairing, but we do think Slot will make a change at left-back, with £12m man Kostas Tsimikas coming in for Andy Robertson.

After Wolves, Liverpool have consecutive difficult away games at Aston Villa and then Man City within a week.

However, although Wolves is arguably the most winnable of Liverpool’s next four fixtures, Slot will be desperate to get the points on the board at Anfield.

As a a result, we think the Dutch coach will go with his first choice midfield on Sunday.

That will see Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch and Dominik Szoboszlai go again.

Had Curtis Jones not been suspended following his derby fight with Abdoulaye Doucoure, he may well have started this one.

Slot relayed some bad news on Friday in confirming that Cody Gakpo looks set to miss the Wolves clash through injury.

Gakpo has almost always been available throughout his two years at Liverpool so far, but it seems the Reds will have to do without him this weekend.

In his place, we expect to see Diogo Jota start for the first time in the Premier League since October the 20th.

With Luis Diaz shifted into Gakpo’s place, we think the middle of the attack will be freed up for Jota to book himself in.
