French Ligue 1 side PSG have agreed personal terms with Liverpool-linked Khvicha kvaratskhelia over a January transfer.
The Georgian international became the latest attacker linked with a move to Liverpool after The Athletic reported last that the Reds would consider making a move for him.
According to The Athletic report, “Liverpool could consider a move to sign Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Napoli — should it be decided that he is to exit the club in this transfer window.”
“Liverpool are not specifically chasing a player of Kvaratskhelia’s profile, but he is somebody they admire, are keeping tabs on and will be ready to contend for if it becomes a market opportunity,” the report said
However, Paris Saint-Germain, who attempted to sign Kvaratskhelia last season, have moved ahead in the race for the player.
Last week it was revealed by reliable football journalist Fabrizio Romano that the French Ligue 1 side have agreed personal terms with the 23-year-old, offering him a mega contract worth five times his current deal at Napoli.
And now the journalist has an update on the transfer story.
PSG reach agreement with Napoli
According to Romano, PSG and Napoli have reached an agreement for the transfer of Kvaratskhelia.
The Serie A club were holding out for €80 million for the highly-rated winger.
But the latest report from Romano confirms that they have agreed to a €70m deal plus add-ons.
“Paris Saint-Germain has reached a verbal agreement in principle with Napoli for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia,” Romano revealed.
