Patrice Evra has challenged Luis Suarez to an MMA fight after it was announced that the former Manchester United defender was set to step into the cage next month with the Professional Fighters League (PFL).
Evra has been training since 2016 with longtime friend Cedric Doumbe, who competes in the PFL's welterweight division and has a 6-1 record, having transitioned to MMA from kickboxing in 2021.
Evra is set to make his MMA debut at PFL Europe Paris on May 23 and he has called out Suarez for a fight 13 years after the former Liverpool striker was given an eight-game ban for racially abusing him.
And Evra also made reference to Suarez being involved in three separate biting incidents throughout his career in a post on social media.
"BREAKING: I'm officially training for my first fight with @PFLEurope," Evra wrote.
