Former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra has said he wants to face Luis Suarez in his first fight with MMA promotion PFL Europe next month.
Earlier this week, it was announced that the Frenchman, 43, would feature on PFL Europe Paris at the Accor Arena on May 23, with his opponent set to be announced in due course.
But shortly after his three-round bout was confirmed on Friday afternoon, Evra took to the social media platform X to request that his first fight in the SmartCage be against former Liverpool forward Suarez.

"BREAKING: I’m officially training for my first fight with PFL Europe," wrote Evra.
I said: Luis Suárez.
He can even bite me."
Former Reds forward Suarez was banned for eight games in the 2011-12 season after being found guilty of racially abusing Evra during a match between Liverpool and Manchester United at Anfield in October 2011.
In the return fixture at Old Trafford four months later, Suarez, who now plays for Inter Miami in the MLS, was branded a "disgrace" by Sir Alex Ferguson for seemingly refusing to shake Evra's hand before kick-off.
Evra, who retired from football in 2019, has been training with PFL welterweight champion Cedric Doumbe ahead of his debut with the promotion at the end of next month.
Speaking ahead of his MMA debut, Evra said: "You guys should know by now, I love this game too!
I’ve performed on the world’s biggest stages, won every major trophy in football, but PFL Europe Paris will be an incredibly special night for me.
“I’ve been training alongside the best in the world for years, and they’ll also tell you I’m ready for this.
We’re incredibly excited to have the superstar that is Patrice Evra fight under the PFL banner, as we’re all about exciting match-ups and making history.
