Paul Joyce has provided an update on the Football Association (FA) charge Arne Slot recieved for misconduct during the chaotic conclusion to last week’s Merseyside derby against Everton.
The incident saw tempers flare after a 98th-minute Everton equalizer.
As tensions boiled over, Liverpool’s Curtis Jones and Everton’s Abdoulaye Doucouré received second yellow cards for their involvement in a post-whistle melee.
Slot then approached referee Michael Oliver, allegedly using “insulting and/or abusive language” toward officials, resulting in his dismissal alongside assistant Sipke Hulshoff.
Now Paul Joyce has revealed that both Slot and Hulshoff have accepted the charges brought forth by the FA:
“Arne Slot, assistant Sipke Hulshoff and Liverpool have accepted Football Association charges arising from last week’s Merseyside derby, the Mersyeside reporter wrote on X.
“The matter is now back with the FA.”
