Paul Merson believes the recent break will have done Liverpool the world of good as he admitted he has been proven wrong by David Moyes.
Both Everton and Liverpool finally return to action on Wednesday night when they meet in the second Merseyside derby of the season at Anfield.
The Reds head into the game knowing, as things stand, that 16 more points from their final nine games will secure them their second Premier League title.
Everton, on the other hand, make the trip across Stanley Park looking to extend their unbeaten league run under David Moyes to nine games.
And while Merson admits he has been blown away by the job done by Moyes since he replaced Sean Dyche in January, he can’t see past Liverpool picking up all three points and moving one step closer to the 'holy grail'.

"I’ve got to go with Liverpool here," he wrote in his Sportskeeda column.
"David Moyes has done a mind-blowing job at Everton.
"He proved me wrong when I said it wouldn’t work for him the second time at Goodison Park.
It just shows how top managers can work their magic whenever they want.
"I expect Everton to make it hard for Liverpool, but I look at them and I don’t see an X-factor that can hurt the hosts at Anfield.
"Liverpool have not consistently blown teams away this season.
But they are not like the best Manchester City side that dominated the league under Pep Guardiola.
"Liverpool were looking a bit leggy before the international break, so the rest came at the right time for them.
"The holy grail for Liverpool is winning the league and I expect them to do it.
