Following the game in Paris, Konate admitted that he is ‘very happy’ for the Uruguayan star after Nunez received a lot of criticism after his miss against Aston Villa last month.
“Darwin, I’m very happy for him because we can remember the game against Aston Villa, so many people criticised him because he missed a big opportunity – and today he came in and because of him we won,” Konate said via Liverpool.com.

The centre-back’s praising of his teammates did not stop there as the French star also had to comment on the magnificent performance of Alisson.
Alisson’s performance against PSG was likened to Jesus by Brest manager Eric Roy in the aftermath of the goalkeeper’s heroics in Paris.
This is not the first or last time the Brazilian star has saved the Reds and Konate is aware of that and has asked the 32-year-old to perform as he did at the Parc des Princes until the end of the season.
