Pep Guardiola says it's still too soon to say whether or not Erling Haaland will be fit enough to feature against Tottenham on Wednesday.

The Norway striker, 24, was an unused substitute last week when Manchester City were dumped out of the Champions League by Real Madrid and did not feature in Sunday's 2-0 loss at home to Liverpool.

City have the chance to bounce back quickly when they travel to Spurs in midweek.

Haaland trained before both games and again on Monday, while he also took a place on the bench for City's trip to the Bernabeu in the Champions League.

City are set to be boosted by the return of key defender, Ruben Dias, after he was only deemed fit enough for a place on the bench against Liverpool!

John Stones and Manuel Akanji will not be available, though.

It's been a difficult campaign for City, who have seen their hopes of claiming a fifth successive Premier League crown go up in smoke.

That sparked the club into action in the January transfer window, where they signed Abdukodir Khusanov, Omar Marmoush, Nico Gonzalez and Vitor Reis.

And Guardiola took the time to praise the contributions of City's four new signings ahead of the game, saying: "Really good, for the time of training they've had.
