Jamie Carragher is urging Liverpool to take a leaf out of Chelsea's book by capitalising on Manchester City's oversight.
With the future of Mohamed Salah hanging in the balance, Liverpool are eyeing up attacking reinforcements and Carragher says he'd "love" to see Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers strutting his stuff at Anfield.
Rogers was scarcely afforded opportunities at City and was offloaded for a mere £1million in 2023 after failing to secure a spot in the senior squad.
His trajectory echoes that of Cole Palmer, who left City for Chelsea that same summer and quickly established himself as one of Europe's top attacking talents.
The reigning Premier League champions have faced criticism for letting such promising players slip through their fingers so easily, and while City manager Pep Guardiola has defended the club's decision to sell them, he recently admitted he'd relish having Rogers in his squad.
"Everyone knows how good Morgan is," the Spaniard said in December.
Morgan Rogers is having a fabulous season at Aston Villa.
You know what, I'd love him for Liverpool, oh he's a good player isn't he?"

Pep Guardiola's City appear to have made the same mistake with Morgan Rogers that they did with Cole Palmer.
The Reds could also bolster their squad with additional reinforcements, with Nico Williams and Anthony Gordon both rumoured to be on their way to Merseyside.
That being said, having strength-in-depth is vital for any club with lofty aspirations like Liverpool, and as Morgan has shown this season - even with the likes of Marcus Rashford, Marco Asensio and Leon Bailey all jostling for the same positions he is - a bit of competition won't hold him back.
