That's the final whistle, and it's a disappointing start for Ruben Amorim.
His team made a dream start with a goal inside two minutes from Marcus Rashford, but from that point, it was basically all Ipswich.
They could have levelled through Liam Delap before Omari Hutchinson scored with a deflected shot into the top corner.
In the second half, Delap was denied again by Andre Onana, and though both teams threw players onto the pitch, there was no more clear-cut chances.
So, Amorim becomes the first permanent Man United manager to draw his first Premier League game.

What an opportunity for Ipswich to win it!
The ball is worked out to the right and crossed into the box for Jack Clarke.
He brings it down and calmly picks out the arriving Conor Chaplin.
Unfortunately, a teammate is in the way, and he can't make clean contact with a shot that Andre Onana saves.

Very close!
Bruno Fernandes wins a free-kick 25 yards from goal dead central.
He elects to take the effort himself and whips a shot over the wall.
It looks to be bending into the corner, but the strike just whistles past the post.

Into the final 15 minutes at Portman Road, and this game is there to be won by either team.
Ruben Amorim's changes have made a bit of a change, and the visitors are seeing more of the ball in the Ipswich half.
However, they are yet to create anything of note.

More changes as Jack Clarke and Jack Taylor come on for Sammi Szmodics and Jens Cajuste.
Ruben Amorim also brings on Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund.
Clearly, he's frustrated with the lack of attacking threat from Man United.
Christian Eriksen and Marcus Rashford make way.

Ruben Amorim has waited just ten minutes into the second half, but he's seen enough.
Jonny Evans and Casemiro come off and are replaced by Manuel Ugarte and Luke Shaw.
This is Shaw's first appearance since the Euro 2024 final in July, and he slots in as part of the back three.

Incredible tackle!
For the first time since Man United scored, they break beyond the Ipswich backline through Alejandro Garnacho.
He has Marcus Rashford begging for the pass, and he tries to find him.
But Jens Cajuste times his tackle to perfection to stop a certain goal and block the pass.

What a save!
Liam Delap picks up a pass from Leif Davis in his half and twists Matthijs de Ligt inside-out.
He then guides a ball out to Wes Burns and makes his way back into the box.
Burns delivers a low cross and Delap connects with a clever backheel.
He thinks he's scored, but Andre Onana denies him.

No changes for either side as the two sets of XIs emerge from the tunnel.
For Ruben Amorim, he will want to see a lot more from Man United.
But Kieran McKenna will be delighted with the Tractor Boys' display so far.

That's the end of the first 45 minutes at Portman Road, and Ruben Amorim can't be too pleased with what he has seen from his new team.
They got a dream start when Amad Diallo brilliantly created a chance for Marcus Rashford, who gladly tapped home.
But from that point, it was basically all Ipswich.
They should have been level through Liam Delap but did eventually find an equaliser thanks to Omari Hutchinson's delfected strike.

THAT IS MORE THAN DESERVED!
Wes Burns has been excellent in this first half and plays a pass into Omari Hutchinson.
He turns on the edge of the box and bends an effort at goal.
It's a decent strike that hits Noussair Mazraoui's head and flies into the top corner.
The Tractor Boys get their leveller and Ruben Amorim is stunned.
Meanwhile, VAR is also back.

How on earth isn't that 1-1?
The ball is drilled from right to left and Leif Davis is in.
He chops past his man in the box and rolls a perfect pass into Liam Delap.
The striker has six Premier League goals already this season and should have seven.
But from close range, he smashes the ball straight at Andre Onana.

VAR IS DOWN!
Anthony Taylor has just informed Bruno Feranandes and Sam Morsy that there is a fire alarm at Stockley Park.
The team that is in place trying to help the refereeing unit at Portman Road have been forced from their posts.
This means there is no VAR, so we are back to the old school days of football until that situation is resolved.

Since the early goal, the hosts have been the better team, and they come close to a leveller here.
Leif Davis delivers a corner to the far post that Dara O'Shea directs back across goal.
It's cleared as far as Omari Hutchinson, and he drills in a low strike.
It's destined for the back of the net, but Diogo Dalot blocks well.

Omari Hutchinson glides past Jonny Evans in midfield and works a pass into Liam Delap.
The big striker collects and runs towards the Man United penalty area.
He cuts inside and Evans clatters him, leading to the hosts getting a free-kick on the edge of the box.
Hutchinson takes and his strike deflects into Andre Onana's arms.

Excellent play from Sammie Szmodics to stop a very dangerous Man United counter-attack.
Andre Onana claims Leif Davis' inswinging corner, and after receiving a mouthful earlier for kicking the ball long, he rolls it into Alejandro Garnacho.
The Argentine bursts through the middle of the pitch and has Marcus Rashford looking to get in behind.
However, just as he's about to pass, Szomdics catches him and wins the ball.
Great stuff from the Ipswich forward.

Good play from Man United sees Jonny Evans play a clever ball in behind Axel Tuanzebe.
Alejandro Garnacho collects and plays a pass into Bruno Fernandes.
He returns the ball to the Argentine, who lines up a curling strike from just inside the box.
It's a decent effort, but he doesn't get enough bend on it, and the ball sails a few yards wide.

Very close to an equaliser!
Ipswich work the ball out to Wes Burns, and he advances into the Man United half.
Diogo Dalot backs off, and Burns picks out Sammie Szmodics on the edge of the area.
The former Blackburn man arrives and connects with a curling right-footed strike that Andre Onana dives to his right to tip away before gathering.

AMORIM'S REIGN IS UP AND RUNNING!
We have played two minutes, and the Red Devils are in the lead already.
Amad Diallo picks up the ball on the far side and drives down the right.
He beats two men and whips in a low cross for Marcus Rashford.
He gets in ahead of his marker and converts.
That goal came in under two minutes, and there isn't a flicker of emotion from Ruben Amorim.
Meanwhile, Rashford has just equalled his goal tally under Erik ten Hag since March 2024.
That goal also sees Amorim become just the second Premier League manager to see his side score within two minutes during his first game in charge.
He follows David Moyes, who saw Everton do the same in 2002.

Here we go!
The Tractor Boys get us underway.
They are playing in their traditional blue tops and white shorts.
Meanwhile, Man United are in red and black.
The atmosphere at Portman Road is excellent.

We are now just moments away from another new era at Manchester United.
Erik ten Hag arrived at Old Trafford with a similar reputation, but despite claiming two trophies, things didn't work out for the Dutchman.
Ruben Amorim believes he is the man to get the Red Devils back to the top of English football.
He has asked for time, but the top-flight is relentless, and we are very close to things starting.
The players are in the tunnel, and Portman Road is bouncing.

There goes the final whistle, and Liverpool move eight points clear at the top of the Premier League.
However, as Arne Slot predicted, it was far from easy.
Dominik Szoboszlai opened the scoring when he exploited some terrible defending in the first half, but the Saints levelled through Adam Armstrong.
They then took the lead as Mateus Fernandes scored his first top-flight goal.
But when the Reds needed someone to save them, Mohamed Salah stepped up.
He scored from Ryan Gravenberch's pass before slamming the winner home from the penalty spot.

Well, this has come out of nowhere, but Leicester City have confirmed they've sacked Steve Cooper.
The former Nottingham Forest boss took charge of 15 games, winning just three in all competitions.
There were complaints from many sections of the Leicester fanbase about the style of play, and after a 2-1 defeat to Chelsea, the Foxes become the second team to part ways with their manager, following Manchester United sacking Erik ten Hag.
In a statement, the club said: "Leicester City Football Club has parted company with Steve Cooper, who leaves his position as First Team Manager with immediate effect.
"Assistant Manager Alan Tate and First Team Coach and Analyst Steve Rands have also left the Club.
Steve, Alan and Steve depart with our thanks for their contribution during their time with the Club and with our best wishes for the future.
"Men’s First Team training will be overseen by First Team Coach Ben Dawson, supported by coaches Danny Alcock and Andy Hughes, as the Club begins the process of appointing a new manager, which we hope to conclude as soon as possible."
He leaves the club in 16th place in the Premier League, two points above the drop zone.
talkSPORT understands this isn't a kneejerk reaction, and the club have been concerned with performances for some time.
Cooper had also failed to connect with the players or fans, and the search for his replacement is underway, though, its not expected to be a quick process.

YOU CAN'T STOP HIM!
Mohamed Salah runs up and curves his run.
He then whips his left foot around it and crashes a stunning penalty into the top corner.
He then charges off to the Liverpool away fans and removes his shirt.
That's his tenth Premier League goal of the season and his sixth in his last five.
