The Premier League is back after a hiatus, and the midweek games didn't disappoint.
Arsenal dropped more points as the title slips further and further away from their grasp as Everton sealed a 1-1 draw with the Gunners.
The race for Europe is getting intense and Aston Villa host Nottingham Forest in a massive tie.

Well, that wasn't the best game of Premier League football you are ever likely to see.
However, we did actually get a piece of Premier League history.
James Tarkowski's booking in the second half was his 64th in his top-flight career.
That is the most by anyone to not receive a red card in Premier League history.
Of course, many would argue he should have been sent off in midweek at Anfield...

That is the end of the game, and the spoils are shared.
It is more dropped points for Arsenal, leaving them 11 points behind Liverpool, having played a game more.
From this stage, it would take an incredible collapse for the Reds to not win the Premier League.
For the Gunners, it is all about the Champions League in midweek, and Mikel Arteta will be pleased he got to rest some key players and get minutes into a couple of others' legs.
But it was a poor performance, and they will have to be much better.
Meanwhile, Everton will be pleased to have come from a goal down, as they creep towards safety.

What a couple of opportunities!
Lovely move from Arsenal down the left as Gabriel Martinelli slips a pass into the underlapping Kieran Tierney.
The Scotsman picks out Martin Odegaard in the box, and he somehow hits the ball off his own foot and behind for a goal kick.
Jordan Pickford then denies Gabriel Martinelli with a strong save.

Into the last ten minutes of the game at Goodison Park, and it doesn't feel like we are going to get a winner.
Arsenal have all of their top attacking players on the pitch now, but they've been unable to fashion a clear chance.
Meanwhile, it seems as if the hosts are more than happy to take a point from this one.
They have dropped every man behind the ball and are just looking to see this out.

Martin Odegaard is now being introduced onto the pitch by Arsenal.
The captain has had 70 minutes on the bench, but with the Gunners not winning, he's been introduced to try and provide that creative spark.
Jorginho is the man to make way for the visitors.
It's not often this season that Arsenal have had Odegaard and Bukayo Saka on the pitch at the same time, so it will be interesting to see what they can do.

Declan Rice takes the free-kick, and Jordan Pickford denies him.
Three Arsenal players create a gap to the side of the wall, and Rice drives his effort through it.
But Pickford stays to his side and makes the stop.
Everton make a couple of changes as well as Armando Broja and James Garner come on for Beto and Tim Iroegbunam.

It has been a much more even game since Iliman Ndiaye's penalty.
And Mikel Arteta has seen enough as he goes to his bench again.
Ben White hasn't looked fully on it, and he's replaced by Jurrien Timber.
The Gunners immediately win a free-kick on the edge of the box as Myles Lewis-Skelly carries the ball up the pitch before James Tarkowski cleans him out.
The captain is booked.

COOL AS YOU LIKE!
Iliman Ndiaye steps up, and he slots the ball into the bottom left-hand corner.
It's a lovely penalty as he sends David Raya the wrong way.
What a start to the second half for David Moyes' men.
Game on!

Everton have a spot kick!
A long ball is played over the top, and Myles Lewis-Skelly loses the flight of it.
Jack Harrison bursts into the box, and the left-back drags him to the ground.
The referee points straight to the spot.
VAR has a look, and agrees it is a penalty!

Back underway for the second 45 minutes, and it's two changes for Arsenal.
Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli are on for Ethan Nwaneri and Raheem Sterling.
You have to say, those are two bold changes from Mikel Arteta, who must want to kill this game off.
However, he also must have an eye on midweek and is trying to get some minutes into his star wingers.

That is the end of the first 45 minutes, and it's Arsenal who lead.
Leandro Trossard brilliantly finished after good work from Raheem Sterling to provide one moment of quality in a game lacking it.
Before that, Everton had the better of the chances but were unable to take them, while there have been a couple of injury scares for the Gunners.
However, Mikel Merino has carried on despite cutting his head, and Mikel Arteta's decision to leave Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka on the bench has so far been justified.

James Tarkowski from villain to hero!
A ball is played in behind the Everton defence, and Leandro Trossard outpaces Tarkowski.
He then lunges in on the Arsenal man, and luckily, makes no contact in the box.
Trossard gets a shot away that Jordan Pickford blocks as far as Declan Rice, who is certain to score, but there is Tarkowski to make a crucial block.

Mikel Merino has been patched up and checked out by the medical team.
The Spaniard is going to carry on for now.
But given it's a head injury, that will need to be closely monitored throughout the rest of the match.
It wouldn't be a surprise if he is withdrawn ahead of that game against Real Madrid in midweek.

Looking like another injury concern for Arsenal.
There is a clash of heads in the box between Jake O'Brien and Mikel Merino.
O'Brien is up quite quickly, but Merino looks to be struggling.
He's still down receiving treatment, as blood is pouring from the back of his head.

CLINICAL!
Arsenal have the lead, and it is a ruthless move.
Idrissa Gana Gueye heads a ball down in midfield that fails to find a teammate.
Raheem Sterling collects and carries the ball to the edge of the box.
He has Leandro Trossard to the left and plays it to him, and the Belgian takes a touch before finding the bottom corner.
Mikel Arteta will be delighted because his team have offered very little.

What an opportunity for the hosts!
Jack Harrison delivers a free-kick from the right that reaches the far post.
Jake O'Brien doesn't expect it to get to him, and the ball hits his chest and deflects away from goal.
If he could have sorted out his body, he had a tap in.

On the ninth minute, the whole of Goodison Park rises to applaud Kevin Campbell.
The striker represented both of these clubs with distinction, and was widely regarded as one of the most popular men in football.
Sadly, we lost Kevin last year, but in the first fixture at Goodison Park since his death, both sets of fans and benches pay respects to Campbell.

Stunning block!
It's a great move from Arsenal down the right that ends with Raheem Sterling picking up the ball in the box.
He rifles in a first-time shot that looks destined for the back of the net beyond Jordan Pickford.
However, there is Tim Iroegnbunam to make an incredible block from close range.

There is a warm embrace between David Moyes and Mikel Arteta, and this one is off.
The players take a knee before kick-off because this is a No Room For Racism weekend across the Premier League.

Right, we have the starting XIs in for the early kick-off as Arsenal visit Goodison Park.
Ahead of facing Real Madrid in midweek in the Champions League quarter-finals, Mikel Arteta has rung the changes.
Of course, Gabriel Magalhaes has been ruled out for the rest of the season, so he's out and Jakub Kiwior is in.
Ben White replaces Jurrien Timber, Raheem Sterling gets a rare start in place of Gabriel Martinelli.
Thomas Partey and Martin Odegaard are also rested with Leandro Trossard and Jorginho coming into the side.
Bukayo Saka is also on the bench.
For Everton, James Tarkowski starts after avoiding a red card in the Merseyside derby.
Nathan Patterson comes in for Vitaliy Mykolenko, and Tim Iroegbunam replaces James Garner.
Iliman Ndiaye is fit, and he takes Carlos Alcaraz's place.
Everton: Pickford, O'Brien, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Patterson, Gueye, Iroegbunam, Harrison, Doucoure, Ndiaye, Beto

Marcos Senesi is hopeful Bournemouth will keep hold of their manager Andoni Iraola this summer.
The defender has also praised fellow centre-back Dean Huijsen following the teenager's breakthrough campaign.
Bournemouth are in the mix for their highest league finish as well as European qualification for the first time in their history.
However, their impressive displays have also seen the likes of Tottenham eye Iraola ahead of next season.
Asked if the Spaniard can go on to manage a 'huge' club, Senesi told White & Jordan: "I think he’s doing brilliant here

UEFA have confirmed that no Real Madrid player will be banned for their upcoming Champions League game against Arsenal.
Antonio Rudiger, Vinicius Junior, Kylian Mbappe and Dani Ceballos were all the subject of disciplinary investigations after beating Atletico Madrid on penalties in the last round.
All four players had the potential to face one-match bans, and Rudiger and Mbappe have been given suspended ones.
But the big thing for the Gunners is that the quartet are all available for that first leg next week.
