COMEBACK COMPLETE!!!

Pep Guardiola grabs his bottle of water as he slumps back in his seat as his team are staring down the barrel of four successive defeats!

It's the first Premier League goal for former Celtic star O'Riley, back from injury, and on from the bench!

He combines with fellow substitute Joao Pedro to advance into the box and then slot a slightly bouncing ball past Ederson.

O'Riley is just the sixth Brighton player to score on their Premier League debut for the club.

The Denmark international is also the first player to score against Man City on his Premier League debut since Steven Bergwijn for Spurs in February 2020.

THE CHAMPIONS HAVE BEEN OPENED UP AGAIN!

It's been coming and finally, Pedro strikes to haul the Seagulls level.

The Brazilian missed a huge chance earlier in the second-half after coming on as a substitute but he made no mistake this time.

A wonderful raking diagonal ball releases Kaoru Mitoma to advance into the box and his squared cross falls kindly for Danny Welbeck.

Welbeck should finish unmarked in the six-yard area but he gets the ball caught under his feet and City get enough bodies in the way.

But Pedro reacts fastest to the bobbling ball and fires past Ederson from close range.

1-1!

Only Jhon Durán (8) has more goals as a substitute in the Premier League since the start of last season than Pedro (5).

Yoane Wissa was Brentford's star man once again as his double helped see off Bournemouth in a five-goal thriller today.

Bees boss Thomas Frank has heaped praise on his new star striker, claiming he trusted him to step up after Ivan Toney's exit.

Wissa now boasts seven Premier League goals this season, with the striker scoring in each of his four Bees home matches so far.

The 28-year-old has now banged in 15 non-penalty goals in 2024.

I think football's passed him by, and I just wouldn't want a Jose Mourinho of now at my club, and I would imagine all Newcastle fans would feel the same."

The champions are good value to be leading at the break, and as it stands, will go one point above Premier League leaders Liverpool.

However, more importantly for Pep Guardiola, is the stopping of a recent rot in all competitions for his side.

It is worth noting how Sporting Lisbon took the game to City after half-time, which could give Brighton confidence.

And right now that's all the Seagulls have - they've been second-best in virtually all departments at the Amex so far!

OF COURSE IT'S HIM!!

654,251 Fantasy Premier League managers have transferred out the most-sold player for Gameweek 11 - how he's made them pay!

It's almost a typical Haaland goal as he plays on the shoulder of the last defender and is threaded through by Mateo Kovacic.

However, his finish has a touch of his recent rustiness in front of goal and he gets some good fortune after firing straight at the keeper.

But Brighton's Bart Verbruggen can't prevent the shot squirming underneath his body and it pops back up for Haaland to poke home.

Seven of the Norwegian's last eight Premier League goals have either put Manchester City ahead (6) or been an equaliser (1).

Haaland has now scored at 19 of the 21 stadiums he's played at in the Premier League, only failing to do so at Anfield (2 games) and the Gtech Community Stadium (1 game).

He has now also become the fastest player in Premier League history to reach the 75-goal mark, needing just 77 games to do so!

It goes from bad to worse for Oliver Glasner as all hope of getting back in this contest has been snuffed out.

At 1-0, Daichi Kamada received his marching orders and the Eagles were reduced to ten for the final 15 minutes.

The Japanese midfielder can have no complaints - it's a horror high tackle on Kenny Tete that leaves the Fulham player in a heap.

Kamada caught Tete with his studs on the knee and referee Michael Salisbury had no hesitation in brandishing the red card.

Just over five minutes later, Fulham took full advantage of the man advantage as Harry Wilson slotted home a second goal.

It caps an incredible week for the Welshman following his late double against Brentford on Monday, and it's his first touch.

One minute and eight seconds after coming on as a substitute Wilson was played through by Alex Iwobi and finished past Dean Henderson.

It's more misery for Palace, who were without eight senior stars ahead of kick-off, and were already missing Will Hughes through suspension.

Kamada will now be unavailable for the club's next three matches; which includes a trip away at Aston Villa, and at home to Newcastle.

Commentator Ian Danter said the London Stadium was ‘subdued’.

Former Arsenal winger Perry Groves was not as kind, saying at the break: “In the first-half West Ham have looked like a team of trialists, like they don't know each other.

“There’s no cohesion there whatsoever.

“And there is no atmosphere in this stadium.

“There are 60,000 people in here and you’d think you were at a West End theatre.

“The camera has just panned over to Sir Trevor Brooking, they could do with a player like him out there - a little bit of flair and creativity.”

The former Arsenal man was strongly linked with a move to the Eagles earlier this summer before moving to Craven Cottage.

Ryan Manning thinks he's given the Saints a route back into the game but his equaliser has been controversially ruled out.

Referee Thomas Brammall is advised to come over to the screen to judge a tangle between Mateus Fernandes and Nelson Semedo.

He agrees with VAR's view that the Wolves defender had been fouled before Manning lashed home and the goal gets chalked off.

Mike Dean told Sky Sports: "It's very, very harsh.

"It actually looks like the foul is the other way…

"They should have stuck with the on-field decision in my view - I don't think it was a foul.

"The referee overturned the original decision and play restarted with a Wolves free-kick."

Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi has been forced into midfield against Fulham this afternoon to cope with the club's injury crisis.

The England international was named in Opta's team of Euro 2024 after partnering John Stones in Germany.

He was then strongly linked with a big-money move to Newcastle to become the focal point of Eddie Howe's backline.

But should is his versatility that Eagles boss Oliver Glasner has been forced to deploy Guehi in midfield at Selhurst Park.

Palace are without eight senior players, and crucially, multiple central midfielders, including Will Hughes and Adam Wharton.

Attacking talisman Eberechi Eze is also sidelined through injury, which means his Three Lions teammate Guehi will be stepping up.

Mikel Arteta admitted to not knowing the formula that sparked Arsenal's electric form in the second half of last season that carried them to within a whisker of the Premier League title.

The team spent a week in Dubai in the aftermath of what appeared to be two costly defeats over Christmas, as back-to-back losses against West Ham and Fulham looked to have counted them out of contention.

This season will not offer the chance for a mid-winter getaway with the league having axed the January hiatus from the calendar.

Arteta was at a loss to define the moment that galvanised his team and sent them on a supercharged run of 16 wins in their final 18 games.

"We don't know where that clicked," he said.
