It is the first game at the new Bramley Moore Dock stadium tonight as Everton Under-18s take on Wigan.

Toffees fans have been invited in to see their new ground, and things couldn't be going much worse.

The young Everton side are trailing 2-0 with not long to go, and the first goalscorer at the new ground was Harrison Rimmer.

And after scoring, he held up six fingers in the direction of the Everton fans.

This is of course the number of European trophies that Liverpool have won, so it was a not-so subtle dig at the Toffees.

Is the new ground cursed already?

Thomas Tuchel is reportedly missing some Premier League games because he is working from home.

The former Chelsea and Bayern Munich boss was announced as Gareth Southgate's permanent successor in late 2024 after a secretive process from the FA.

He didn't officially start as new Three Lions boss until January 1 this year, and he has missed the last three rounds of Premier League and cup games because he is being allowed regular trips back to Germany, according to The Times.

His family are still based in the country of his birth, so Tuchel is regularly returning and working from home.

Tuchel is set to earn £ 5million a year while in charge of the Three Lions, and he will manage his first game next month.

Arsenal have been fined £65,000 by the Football Association after their players confronted referee Michael Oliver in the 1-0 victory over Wolves last month.

Myles Lewis-Skelly was controversially sent off for a challenge on Matt Doherty which prompted the Arsenal players to surround Oliver.

“So I pray, but I have to improve the quality of my praying,” finished the 75-year-old with a wry smile.

Former Chelsea star John Obi Mikel has laid into Jadon Sancho by claiming the winger deceived fans with his early good performances.

England international Sancho initially impressed after arriving from Manchester United on deadline day last summer in an initial loan deal.

The transfer, which will become permanent provided Chelsea doesn’t finish in the bottom six, looked to be a great fit for all parties.

Having fallen out of favour at Old Trafford, Sancho registered three assists in his first three games.

He then scored back-to-back Premier League goals in his eighth and ninth appearances for the club before suffering a dip in form.

Sancho has managed just one assist without scoring in his last 10 top-flight matches and is still waiting to open his account for 2025 with his last goal coming against Tottenham in December.

Following his latest ineffective outing in the 3-0 defeat to Brighton, Mikel refused to hold back in his criticism of the 24-year-old.

“Jadon Sancho came in and deceived us with a couple of games, and we thought, “f****** hell, we are getting the Sancho from [Borussia] Dortmund”, but he’s gone again,” he told his Obi One Podcast.

“I don’t know what happened to him, but he has disappeared off the grid.”

Darts star Luke Littler had the perfect response to James Maddison's call-out following Tottenham's 1-0 win over Manchester United.

'The Nuke' has struck up a friendship with the England footballer, due to their shared interest in each other's sport.

18-year-old Littler, who is a Man United fan, has even attended Tottenham home games as Maddison's guest.

The latter was quick to send the teenager a playful jibe on social media on Sunday following Spurs' victory against the Red Devils.

Maddison posted a picture on Instagram of his traditional darts-throwing celebration, with the caption 'Sorry son' and tagged Littler.

The latter fired straight back on his own account, posting: "I knew u was thinking about me."

Simon Jordan has called out Ange Postecoglou despite the Tottenham boss sealing a 1-0 win over Manchester United.

The talkSPORT host claimed the Australian must shoulder some of the blame for Spurs' struggles this season.

Postecoglou has regularly pointed to his club's extensive injury crisis for their inconsistent form, with a section of the Tottenham fanbase also pointing the finger at chairman Daniel Levy.

However, Jordan said: “When you’ve had your best team available to you and you’ve lost at home to Ipswich, your best team’s been available to you.

“When you had your best team available, you’ve been 2-0 up against Brighton, you’ve lost.

"I'm happy now that I've got back to my level from last year a bit in terms of scoring goals in the last month."

Leeds United continue their push to return to the Premier League tonight - and Neil Warnock has lavished praise on Dan James.

The Whites host promotion rivals Sunderland at Elland Road, live and EXCLUSIVE on talkSPORT 2.

Daniel Farke's men know a draw will be enough for them to leapfrog Sheffield United at the top of the Championship on goal difference.

Since the start of November, former Manchester United winger James has been involved in nine goals in 10 league games at Elland Road (6 goals, 3 assists), both scoring and assisting in his last two games (2 goals, 3 assists).

In the build-up to this evening's game, legendary manager Warnock told talkSPORT: “My favourite player in that team is Daniel James.

“Even when he wasn’t playing in the playoffs I pulled him on the pitch after the game and I said ‘Daniel lad, you are the type of player I would love to have managed.’

“His attitude, he’s always wanting to get at defenders, it’s a breath of fresh air.”

Warnock also reversed some plaudits for Leeds' manager, adding: “I love Daniel Farke, he’s probably my favourite manager him.

I will give him one benefit of the doubt: he is not a centre-forward.”

Casemiro has handed Manchester United a major transfer headache by claiming he wants to see out his big-money contract.

The Brazilian is one of the club's highest earners with an estimated weekly wage of £350,000 but has made just 11 Premier League starts this season.

Casemiro started the first two league games of the Amorim era against Ipswich and Everton but was an unused substitute for the following five games.

He was only restored to the starting XI for the 1-0 defeat to Tottenham on Sunday following injuries to both of the Portuguese's preferred pairing, Kobbie Mainoo and Manuel Ugarte.

Casemiro was strongly linked with a January move to Saudi Arabia, with interest in his services set to be reignited this summer.

However, the 32-year-old, who joined from Real Madrid in 2022 for £60million, has insisted that he feels that he 'has a lot of life yet'.

In an interview with Spanish outlet AS, he said: "I have to keep doing what I'm doing, with a lot of respect and education.

Nutrition, physical preparation, everything lengthens a footballer's career if you take care of yourself.

"That's why Cristiano [Ronaldo] at 40 years old continues to score 50 goals a season."

Gabby Agbonlahor has cheekily offered to go and coach Manchester United’s stars on how to finish their chances.

The Red Devils had 16 opportunities to find the back of the net in their 1-0 defeat to Tottenham, with only six on target and no goals.

It means that Ruben Amorim’s side have now scored just two goals in their last four games while having the joint-16th worst attack in the Premier League.

TalkSPORT Breakfast host Jeff Stelling suggested that Man United need a new finishing coach and Gabby replied: “I did my coaching badges with Ruben Amorim.

There must be an issue.

“I looked at the game where he took [Joshua] Zirkzee off after 33 minutes and thought that it was the manager’s fault.

“I don’t think they needed two strikers (against Spurs), they needed an extra midfielder.”

Jamie O'Hara has surprisingly vetoed an England call-up for Djed Spence - and instead has tipped Arsenal rival Myles Lewis-Skelly.

Tottenham defender Spence claimed the player of the match award in Spurs' 1-0 win over Manchester United on Sunday.

It continued an impressive individual campaign for the 24-year-old, who has finally found his feet in north London - just as Lewis-Skelly, six years his junior, has burst onto the scene at neighbours Arsenal.

Spence signed for Nottingham Forest on loan for the 2021/22 season and was key in their promotion to the Premier League.

Spurs signed him in the subsequent summer but he featured just six times before spending the second half of last season at Rennes.

Spence then made seven appearances for Leeds last season before they cut his loan deal short five months early - with manager Daniel Farke appearing to question his attitude.

Chances of a revival under Ange Postecoglou looked slim after he was excluded from Tottenham's Europa League squad for the league phase of the competition.

However, the Lilywhites injury crisis opened the door for right-back Spence to deputise for Destiny Udogie out left, and he has since seized his chance.

Former Tottenham star O'Hara told talkSPORT: “He's playing in that position because he has been asked to me and he has done really well again.

“But I have to be honest.
