Ruben Amorim has admitted he is unsure if Marcus Rashford has played his final game for Manchester United, while Manchester City are going on a spending spree this January.

STAMFORD BRIDGE IS SILENCED!

It's a fantastic finish from Semenyo as he fires a rocket into the top corner from a tight angle.

Ryan Christie is afforded far too much time to turn in the middle of the pitch and accelerate away from Nicolas Jackson.

He feeds Semenyo on the edge of the box who stands up Josh Acheampong and leaves him for dead by darting to the byline.

The angle is still against him but Semenyo unleashes a thunderous strike that flies past Robert Sanchez into the roof of the net.

Elsewhere, Lucas Paqueta has restored West Ham's two-goal advantage over Fulham and the Irons now lead 3-1 on the night.

And Phil Foden has finally broken the deadlock in west London by putting Manchester City ahead against Brentford.

The visitors have been leaking goals since Alisson Becker's return from injury and it continues a worrying trend over his form.

The Brazilian suffered a hamstring issue in Liverpool's 1-0 win over Crystal Palace at the start of October.

He has faced 15 shots on target in the Premier League following his comeback - .He's conceded 9 of them!

The whistle goes and the home fans celebrate it like it's full-time such is the magnitude of what has unfolded.

Chris Woods' early opener has put the Tricky Trees on course to complete the double over the Premier League leaders.

Liverpool, whose only top-flight defeat prior to tonight was the reverse fixture at Anfield, have looked sloppy once again.

Their 9 shots is the most they've had without having one on target in the first half of a PL game since April 2014 (also 9 vs Chelsea).

THE CHERRIES HAVE EQUALISED FROM THE SPOT!

A clumsy challenge from Moises Caicedo on Antoine Semenyo gives the visitors the opportunity to level proceedings from the restart.

Up steps Kluivert, who had already scored a hat-trick of penalties this season, and rolls home another from 12 yards.

Elsewhere, Raul Jimenez has continued his recent scoring run by pulling a goal back for Fulham against West Ham.

However, the Mexican may do well to claim it - replays show the striker may not have even got a touch on Alex Iwobi's cross.

What a huge mistake from Luis Diaz!

The home side have defended so resolutely but are completely opened up by a wonderful Trent Alexander-Arnold pass.

The Liverpool right-back splits the Forest backline with a sliced ball for Diaz to be released one-on-one with Murillo.

The Colombian has Cody Gakpo on his overlap that would put the Dutchman through on goal but delays on the pass.

His eventual attempt is a tame effort that is easily snuffed out by the Forest defender and the chance is gone.

Horror moment!

It sums up just how poor the visitors' attack has been thus far - None of Liverpool's seven shots have been on target.

The Premier League champions have once again flattered to deceive but one man has been showing his best level for the visitors.

Kevin De Bruyne created five chances in the first half, only Dejan Kulusevski (6 vs Man Utd in September) has created more in the opening 45 minutes of a Premier League game this season.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are leading Bournemouth at the break courtesy of Cole Palmer's early finish.

Only four players have ever scored more Premier League goals than Palmer (36) in their first 50 starts for a club (Erling Haaland - 51 for Man City, Alan Shearer - 45 for Blackburn, Andrew Cole - 41 for Newcastle and Mohamed Salah - 40 for Liverpool).

And finally, West Ham are two to the good against Fulham in Graham Potter's home and Premier League debut in charge.

Potter has never lost a Premier League game when leading by 2+ goals at halftime (won all previous seven such matches).

West Ham last lost a Premier League game in which they led by two or more goals at halftime in May 2011 (lost 2-3 vs Wigan Athletic).

Fulham last avoided defeat in a Premier League game when trailing by two or more goals at halftime in January 2019 (won 4-2 vs Brighton).

The visitors have looked extremely rattled by that Chris Wood goal.

A tame Mohamed Salah cross is easily claimed by Mats Sels and then Luis Diaz has a shot from distance that clears the crossbar.

Both attempts are widely cheered by the Forest faithful!

A reminder that if the home side beat Liverpool tonight then they will equal their longest-ever league-winning run of seven.

The Tricky Trees have done so four times previously (February 1893, December 1906, October 1921, and September 1979).

Chris Wood has scored his first goal in 13 Premier League appearances against Liverpool, meaning he's now scored against every side he's faced more than twice in the competition.

Wood has now scored the opening goal in nine different Premier League games this season, at least three more than any other player.

THE HOLLYWOOD SCRIPT CONTINUES!

It's been all the visitors so far this match but against the run of play Wood has found the net to stun the Premier League leaders.

Of all people, it's Mohamed Salah who loses the ball for the Reds and Anthony Elanga feeds Wood on the left-hand side of the box.

The striker then drills a brilliant finish across Alisson and into the far corner to raise the roof off of the City Ground.

WOW!

The old one-two so quick one after the other!

Fulham will be really ruing not taking advantage of their early dominance as they suddenly find themselves two goals down.

The Cottagers are unbeaten in their last five Premier League games when conceding first (W2 D3).

That run may be coming to an end now!

There was just 131 seconds between West Ham's two goals.

THIS ONE WILL STAND!

Now, the Hammers have their first Premier League goal under Graham Potter and it's the summer signing!

Soler - who minutes before had looked to have been the provider for the disallowed goal - has now turned goalscorer himself!

It will be one Andreas Pereira won't want to see again as he gets punished for playing a horror blind ball across his own goal.

His pass is in between Timothy Castagne and Harry Wilson and Soler arrives to power a first-time shot with Leno stranded.

West Ham have lost just one of their last 19 Premier League games in which they opened the scoring (W12 D6), losing 1-4 to Tottenham last October.

The Hammers think they've scored their first Premier League goal under Graham Potter but the offside flag denies them!

The home side have been under the cosh for most of the opening half an hour against Fulham but sprung into action here.

West Ham's first meaningful attack sees the ball end up in the net as Carlos Soler whips in a brilliant cross for Max Kilman,

His header was perfectly flicked beyond Bernd Leno but after referee Craig Pawson has a chat with VAR Stuart Attwell the decision stands!

No goal!

ICE COLD FROM THE BLUES' MAIN MAN!

It's a perfectly weighted pass from Nicolas Jackson to release Palmer in behind the Bournemouth backline.

The latter then shows his unrivalled composure by feinting to shoot and sitting down Mark Travers before rolling it into the net.

Palmer has now become the first player since Eden Hazard to achieve a remarkable feat for Chelsea.

He is the first Blues player to hit 20 or more Premier League goals and assists in consecutive campaigns since the Belgian wizard.

Hazard did so in his first three seasons with the club after signing from Lille, which were in 2012/13, 2013/14 and 2014/15.

Palmer meanwhile has scored more Premier League goals (36) than any other player since his first start in the top-flight for Chelsea in October 2023.

Since the start of last season, he has combined with Jackson for 12 Premier League goals, at least three more than any other duo.

The Senegalese striker has 4 Premier League assists for Palmer this season - only Newcastle's Jacob Murphy has assisted a teammate more this term (5 for Isak).

At 29 years and 26 days, this is the oldest starting XI Graham Potter has ever named in a Premier League match.

Potter has only faced Chelsea (6) more often than Fulham (5 - D3 L2) without ever winning in the PL.

Speaking to TNT Sports about what he has tried to instil at his new club pre-match, he said: "Just the foundation of being a team and collectively defending together and attacking together and being together on the pitch.

"Sometimes you lose games and you feel that the team is alive and sometimes you win them and you feel it is not there."

Kyle Walker has been left out of Manchester City's squad for tonight's Premier League away match at Brentford.

In bombshell news over the weekend, Pep Guardiola revealed that Walker had asked to leave the Etihad this month.

It is believed that the right-back has turned down a reported £400,000-a-week offer to play in the Saudi Pro League.

TalkSPORT understands AC Milan is his preferred destination.

In his absence, Rico Lewis would have expected to be given the nod in defence but the England youngster has surprisingly been benched.

Instead, Matheus Nunes - a £47.2million attacking midfielder - is being tasked with helping marshall an inform Brentford attack.

The Portuguese found himself in hot water over his defending in the Manchester derby defeat to United last month having conceded the late penalty that sparked the Red Devils' 2-1 comeback win.

Brentford XI: Flekken, Roerslev, Collins, Van den Berg, Lewis-Potter, Norgaard, Janelt, Jensen, Damsgaard, Mbeumo, Wissa.

Aston Villa have confirmed the signing of Dutch international Donyell Malen from Borussia Dortmund.

Villa will pay an initial fee of £22million with £2m worth of add-ons for the 25-year-old forward, who has over 100 career club goals.

Chief football correspondent Alex Crook previously shared his belief that Malen would represent a 'decent' bit of business for Villa.

"He brings a level of experience," Crook said on talkSPORT.

"A full Dutch international, played a lot of European football as well.

"He's been part of a Borussia Dortmund side that's usually there or thereabouts in the Bundesliga, so he could be a decent signing for Villa."

Malen's arrival reunites him with compatriot Ian Maatsen, who he revealed inspired him to be the best version of himself daily when the pair were teammates at Dortmund last term.

Despite struggling to break into the Chelsea first-team, Maatsen was a key player on loan at BVB during their run to the Champions League final.

He finished his spell with the German side boasting three goals and two assists from 23 games in all competitions.

However, Maatsen has made just two Premier League starts for Villa since his £37m switch from Stamford Bridge this summer.

Gabriel Jesus is facing another lengthy spell on the sidelines to deal Arsenal a major injury blow.

The Gunners have confirmed the Brazilian's worst fears have been realised as he has suffered an anterior cruciate ligament rupture.

A statement read: "Further to being substituted during our match with Manchester United on Sunday, Gabriel Jesus has received extensive assessments, scans and specialist reviews which have confirmed that he has sustained an injury to the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

"Gabby will undergo surgery in the coming days and will soon begin his recovery and rehabilitation programme.

"We will continue to keep everyone updated with Gabby’s recovery, with everyone at the club fully focused on supporting Gabby to ensure he is back to full fitness as soon as possible."

Having not played football since leaving Newcastle in the summer, Loris Karius has signed a short-term deal with fallen German giants Schalke in the second tier.

The German 31-year-old is sadly best remembered for the 2018 Champions League final for Liverpool where he made a series of mistakes in a 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid.

Karius made two appearances over two seasons for Newcastle, one of which was a 2-0 Carabao Cup final defeat to Manchester United in which he impressed.

The former Mainz and Union Berlin shot stopper is likely to start off as second choice, but could well make an impact for a side looking to push up the table.

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has admitted transfer speculation over Trevoh Chalobah has put the club in a difficult spot.

The centre-back joined the Eagles on loan from Chelsea in the summer, but speculation is mounting over a potential recall.

Addressing the situation, the Austrian said: "It is a little bit (of) a tricky situation.

"I want to always be honest.

"He's the best striker Liverpool have had in modern times.

"Obviously there are other really good strikers but he's a fantastic player and a fantastic human being.

"He's an outstanding athlete and the best ambassador your country can have.

"He's outstanding in all departments really, so I hope he will stay at Liverpool."

Asked about his own future and a return to management, Klopp added: "I will not be the coach of a Red Bull team, that's a clear commitment.

"I'm probably the only person who will get asked in this room where will you be in five years and nobody has a clue, I don't have a clue either.

"But the plan is completely different, and I will not be a replacement of one of the Red Bull coaches.

"I hope we can create a structure where these kinds of questions won't come up at all."

Southampton chairman Henrik Kraft has stepped down from his role after a disastrous first half of the season.

He will be replaced in his role by owner Dragan Solak who said he's 'deeply disappointed' by the club's Premier League return.

Southampton are currently bottom of the table on just six points after 20 games, eight fewer than Leicester in 19th.

Discussing the change, Solak said: "I would like to thank Henrik for the dedication and passion he has invested in his role.

"Whilst I am pleased with many aspects of the club's management, I am deeply disappointed with the football results this season.

"We will be strengthening our football management team in the near future, and we will share details of that as soon as things are confirmed.

"Our aim at the start of the season was to stay in the Premier League, and I know our fans share in my frustration at how this season has gone so far.
