THIS IS INCREDIBLE!

Bournemouth have destroyed Newcastle at St James' Park, dealing out one of the heaviest defeats of the Eddie Howe era.

The Magpies throw everyone forward and get caught on the counter-attack.

The ball is worked into Milos Kerkez, and he lashes an excellent left-footed strike into the far corner.

WOW!

IT'S A TREBLE!

Justin Kluivert is leaving with the matchball.

It's his second hat-trick of the season, but unlike the last one, there was no penalties.

The Dutchman finds some space on the edge of the box, and he curls a fantastic shot into the corner.

Newcastle's winning run is over!

The Cherries have the ball in the back of the net again, but it's not going to count.

A cross comes in and is sent to the far post, Sandro Tonali lashes it away.

The Cherries recycle, and Dango Ouattara stabs home.

However, VAR has a look, and the ball had gone out of play when Tonali cleared it.

We have the starting XIs in from the Gtech.

Andy Robertson has been dropped by Arne Slot after the 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest.

Kostas Tsimikas takes his place at left-back.

However, there is no Diogo Jota in the matchday squad.

Apart from that, there are no changes for the Reds.

For Brentford, there is one change from the 2-2 draw against Manchester City.

Yehor Yarmoliuk replaces Vitaly Janelt.

Brentford: Flekken, Roerslev, Collins, Van den Berg, Lewis-Potter, Norgaard, Jensen, Yarmoliuk, Mbeumo, Damsgaard, Wissa

Subs: Valdimarsson, Henry, Schade, Carvalho, Mee, Konak, Maghoma, Ji-soo

Liverpool: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Tsimikas, Mac Allister, Gravenberch, Salah, Szoboszlai, Gakpo, Diaz

Subs: Kelleher, Endo, Nunez, Chiesa, Elliott, Robertson, Quansah, Bradley

Interesting start for Fabian Schar as he tries to switch the ball across the pitch from right to left.

He produces a terrible pass that David Brooks brings down.

Brooks takes a shot and curls an effort at goal that Martin Dubravka holds.

That sums up Newcastle's performance so far.

One change for Newcastle at the start of the second half.

Sven Botman is off for Fabian Schar.

The former Swiss international takes his place as the right-sided centre-back.

That's the end of the first 45 minutes, and the Toon's run of nine consecutive wins is very much in danger.

Bournemouth have been the better team by miles, and they have a deserved lead through a Justin Kluivert double.

Bruno Guimaraes equalised for Newcastle, but the Toon's back four have been all over the place.

The Cherries are currently on course to move just one point behind Eddie Howe's men in the table.

THEY STRIKE AGAIN!

Dan Burn plays a poor pass into Bruno Guimaraes.

The Brazilian is robbed of possession, and the ball is rolled into Justin Kluivert.

He takes a touch and drills a low shot under Martin Dubravka.

He has now scored more goals at St James' Park than his dad did when he played for the Toon.

Another opportunity for Dango Ouattara.

He starts the move with a great piece of skill in midfield to get past Joelinton.

He then works a pass into Lewis Cook, who delivers a cross that Ouattara heads over the bar.

Down the other end, Bruno Guimaraes finds Anthony Gordon in the box, who rifles in a left-footed shot that just deflects wide.

THE CAPTAIN STRIKES!

Newcastle are level, and it's very straightforward.

Lewis Hall takes a corner from the right, and he whips it onto Bruno Guimaraes' head.

The Brazilian is unmarked and arrows his effort at goal, and Kepa Arrizabalaga can only parry it into the net.

However, Stuart Pearce wasn't impressed with the defending.

He said: "I think that is a poor goal for Bournemouth to concede.

"The defending and goalkeeping should have been better."

Well, this is the last thing that Bournemouth needed because it looks as if Antoine Semenyo is injured.

The forward has gone down holding his ankle.

He has been led off the pitch to receive some treatment.

But given their problems, he is going to try and carry on.

WHAT A START!

Tino Livramento fails to deal with a long ball forward, and it's played into Antoine Semenyo.

He manages to get to the byline and pull a ball into Justin Kluivert.

The Dutchman takes a touch and drills a shot into the bottom corner.

Big save from Martin Dubravka!

Bournemouth have started this game brilliantly, and they could have the lead.

David Brooks drifts in from the right and curls a cross into the box, and Dango Ouattara connects with it.

He directs the effort at goal, and Dubravka makes a good stop.

We are underway at St James' Park.

The Toon are in their traditional black and white stripes.

Bournemouth are wearing their all-change green strip.

Bruno Guimaraes wins the toss, and the Toon attack the Leazes End in the first half.

The teams are in from St James' Park for the 12:30 clash live on talkSPORT.

Newcastle United are unchanged from the 3-0 win over Wolves in midweek.

Fabian Schar returns from illness to make the bench, but Sven Botman maintains his place in the starting XI alongside Dan Burn.

Bournemouth only have ten fit senior outfield players, so they all start.

There are two changes from the 2-2 draw against Chelsea in midweek as Kepa Arrizabalaga returns in goal after being ineligible to face his parent club.

And Justin Kluivert is in for James Hill, meaning Tyler Adams shifts to right-back.

There is a real lack of options on the bench for Andoni Iraola.

Newcastle: Dubravka, Livramento, Botman, Burn, Hall, Tonali, Guimaraes, Joelinton, Murphy, Gordon, Isak

Subs: Vlachodimos, Trippier, Schar, Kelly, Osula, Almiron, Willock, Longstaff, Miley

Bournemouth: Kepa, Adams, Zabarnyi, Huijsen, Kerkez, Christie, Cook, Brooks, Kluivert, Semenyo, Ouattara

Subs: Travers, Jebbison, Adu-Adjei, Akinmboni, Winterburn, Kinsey-Wellings, Rees-Dottin, McKenna, Silcott-Duberry

Newcastle United vs Bournemouth is the 12:30pm kick-off today, which meant an extremely early start for those Cherries fans.

The journey from the Vitality Stadium to St James' Park is 353 miles and takes just over six hours by road.

As a result, the coach set off at 2am this morning.

The match is live on talkSPORT, with Reshmin Chowdhury, Sam Matterface and Stuart Pearce taking you through proceedings.

It should be a great game between two sides who are enjoying good seasons.

The Magpies are on a run of six straight league wins and are seeking a tenth consecutive victory in all competitions for the first time.

Meanwhile, the Cherries only sit four points behind the Toon, and a win would put them right into contention for the Champions League.

Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies' future is reportedly sorted.

The Canadian's deal is due to expire at the end of the season, with a host of top Premier League clubs and Real Madrid ready to throw the chequebook at him.

However, The Athletic's David Ornstein reports those clubs can spend their cash elsewhere.

Ornstein claims Davies is close to reaching an agreement with Bayern to remain at the club.

Once signed, Davies' new deal is expected to keep him at the club for a further four years.

The 24-year-old first arrived in Bavaria from Vancouver Whitecaps in January 2019 and has since cemented himself as a key member of the German giants' line-up.

Davies has over 210 appearances for Bayern and has won the Bundesliga five times.

The Canadian international will hope to win a sixth as Bayern sits four points clear at the top of the league ahead of Bayer Leverkusen.

After the sad news of Denis Law passing away at the age of 84, Manchester United have posted a lengthy obituary.

They said: "Everyone at Manchester United is mourning the loss of Denis Law, the darling of the Stretford End, who has passed away, aged 84.

"To describe Denis as one of Manchester United’s, and football’s, all-time greatest players doesn’t seem sufficient an accolade.

Thank you."

Man United have also paid tribute.

"Everyone at Manchester United is mourning the loss of Denis Law, the King of the Stretford End, who has passed away, aged 84.

His memory will live on forever more."
