There goes the final whistle, and Liverpool are seven points clear at the top of the table after 17 games played.

Leicester opened the scoring in the first half through Jordan Ayew, and they managed to frustrate the Reds until the cusp of half time when Cody Gakpo equalised.

The second half was totally different as Curtis Jones made it 2-1 very early on, and from there, it was a straightforward evening for Arne Slot's men.

Mohamed Salah rounded things off with a lovely finish for his 100th Premier League goal at Anfield, and it's hard to see how anyone will stop Liverpool being crowned champions.

ALL OVER!

He was never going to end the game without doing something, was he?

Cody Gakpo does well in midfield and feeds a pass out to Mohamed Salah.

He advances into the box and uses Victor Kristiansen's body to hide his intentions as he curls a shot around the defender and into the far corner.

That is his 100th home Premier League goal!

Well, that wasn't in the plan...

Dominik Szoboszlai was kept on the bench today to try and help him avoid a fifth yellow card of the season.

But he's immediately picked up a booking and will now miss the game against West Ham at the weekend.

Szoboszlai stopped a Jordan Ayew run with an unceremonious barge and won't make the trip to east London.

Curtis Jones receives a standing ovation as he is withdrawn for Dominik Szoboszlai for the closing stages.

Diogo Jota also enters the field to replace Darwin Nunez.

This shows just how strong Arne Slot's bench is, with Ibarhima Konate and Conor Bradley the only first-team players currently missing.

Cody Gakpo has slammed it home, but the goal won't stand!

This is because Mohamed Salah was ofnside from the initial Ryan Gravenberch cross.

The Egyptian then tried to find Darwin Nunez, he couldn't make contact, but he tried to influence the play from an offside position.

The ball was cleared as far as Gakpo, and he blasted it into the net.

But because of Nunez's role, it doesn't count.

Ruud van Nistelrooy looks to his bench and makes two changes.

Bilal El Khannous and Harry Winks are withdrawn for Oliver Skipp and Facundo Buonanotte.

They are basically like-for-like changes, meaning Leicester are still in a 4-2-3-1 shape.

Patson Daka, what have you done?

After being on the backfoot for the second half, Leicester should be level.

Harry Winks finds Stephy Mavididi on the left with a great pass, and he sends an excellent low cross into the box.

Daka beats Virgil van Dijk to it, but he basically totally misses and makes barely any contact, allowing the Reds to clear.

THE TURNAROUND IS COMPLETE!

Leicester can't clear their lines in the box, and Mohamed Salah slips a pass into Alexis Mac Allister.

The Argentine picks out Curtis Jones, who has the simple task of tapping in.

After a long VAR check to see if Salah was offside in the build-up, then a handball against Jones, the goal is given.

So, as it stands, the Reds are moving seven points clear of Chelsea at the top of the table.

Big chance for Darwin Nunez!

It's a brilliant move from Liverpool as the ball s threaded down the right side of the box for Ryan Gravenberch.

The Dutchman picks out the striker in the area with a fine pass.

He beats Conor Coady to it, but he skies the effort way over the bar from about ten yards.

That's the end of the first 45 minutes, and it's all square.

Leicester opened the scoring inside the first six minutes thanks to Jordan Ayew.

They then largely frustrated the hosts, bar Andy Robertson and Mohamed Salah hitting the woodwork.

But they got their equaliser on the stroke of half time through Cody Gakpo.

That's just what Arne Slot's men needed, and we are set up for an excellent second half at a foggy Anfield.

THAT IS WHAT THEY NEEDED!

Cody Gakpo is so good when he cuts in from that left-hand-side, and he's found the back of the net just before half time.

Alexis Mac Allister rolls the pass to the Dutchman, and he finds some space on the edge of the box.

Gakpo unleashes an excellent strike that bends and dips into the far corner.

Game on!

Andy Robertson smacks the post!

Liverpool are trying to pile the pressure on now, and they come very close to an equaliser through the Scottish left-back.

He gets on the end of a cross and flicks a header towards goal.

It's an excellent effort that beats Jakub Stolarczyk and strikes the post before rebounding off the young Polish goalkeeper and going behind for a corner, which is cleared.

The hosts are starting to push a bit more now.

Andy Robertson finds Cody Gakpo down the left.

The Dutchman cuts inside and unleashes a strike that fizzes just over the bar.

Mohamed Salah sees a right-footed effort then deflected just over the crossbar.

So, they are knocking on the door.

That probably should be 2-0!

Darwin Nunez sells Trent Alexander-Arnold short with a pass and Victor Kristiansen is on to it.

He rolls a pass into Stephy Mavididi, who has Kristiansen on the overlap or Patson Daka in on goal in the box through the middle.

Mavididi makes the right pass with the ball towards Daka, but he hits it slightly too hard and Alisson Becker gathers.

If he got the weight of the pass right, Daka had a one-on-one.

It would be fair to say that goal has knocked the stuffing out of the home fans, who can't believe what they've just seen.

The Reds are back in control of the game and the ball, but they are moving it very slowly.

It's all a bit pedestrian from the Premier League leaders so far.

Of course, there is still plenty of time left in the game.

NO ONE WAS EXPECTING THAT!

Leicester have grabbed the lead at Anfield and stunned everyone, and it's a brilliant goal!

Stephy Mavididi picks up possession on the left and just keeps running.

No one really gets close enough to him, and he drives in a low cross for Jordan Ayew.

He controls, and as he spins, he cleverly diverts his shot into the near post.

Well, this could be a long evening if you support Leicester...

Jakub Stolarczyk makes two brilliant saves on his Premier League debut to prevent Leicester conceding inside the opening five minutes.

The ball is worked out to Cody Gakpo, and he cuts in from the left before delivering a magnificent cross to the far post for Mohamed Salah.

He guides a volley towards goal that Stolarczyk pushes out to Curtis Jones.

He goes around the Polish goalkeeper, but he gets back at him and claws the ball away.

The fog has somewhat cleared at Anfield, but it's still a bitterly cold evening on Merseyside.

As always, things start with a rendition of 'You'll Never Walk Alone'.

Leicester win the toss and force the hosts to attack the Kop End in the first half.

Let's see if that makes any difference as the Foxes arrive here having lost their last two matches 4-0 and 3-0.

Things don't get much easier here...

Wolves are out of the drop zone!

Vitor Pereira has made it back-to-back wins in his first two Premier League games and has Matheus Cunha to thank.

The Brazilian scored and set one up at Molineux as the Old Gold beat ten-man Man United, who had Bruno Fernandes sent off for the third time this season.

Incredibly, it was also the second time in the last three games that they conceded directly from a corner.

It's another damaging defeat for Man United who are 14th, eight points clear of the relegation zone and 11 points off the top four.

IT'S ALL OVER!

Man United push everyone forward and Tommy Doyle wins possession on the right.

He sends it over the top for Matheus Cunha.

The Brazilian is in one-on-one, but he elects to simply roll the ball across the six-yard-box for Hwang Hee-chan, and he taps it in

Into the last five minutes at Molineux, and you can sense just how much these three points would mean for the hosts.

Despite having a man advantage, the Old Gold have dropped deeper and conceded possession to the Red Devils.

Wolves are so close to a huge three points, but Ruben Amorim's side are giving it everything.

They are being a lot more direct but are yet to carve out a clear chance.

So, despite the threat of fog calling this one off, it looks like we are going ahead with Liverpool versus Leicester at Anfield.

This is because the teams are in for the match.

The Reds have made two changes from the ridiculous 6-3 win over Tottenham before Christmas, with Darwin Nunez and Curtis Jones in for Dominik Szoboszlai and Luis Diaz.

For Leicester, there are three changes from the dreadful 3-0 home defeat to Wolves.

Jamie Vardy misses out with a knock, while goalkeeper Jakub Stolarczyk comes in for Danny Ward to make his Premier League debut at Anfield of all places!

The other change sees Harry Winks replace Oliver Skipp and Patson Daka leads the line.

Liverpool: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson, Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Salah, Jones, Gakpo, Nunez

Subs: Kelleher, Endo, Diaz, Szoboszlai, Chiesa, Elliott, Tsimikas, Jota, Quansah

Leicester: Stolarczyk, Justin, Coady, Vestergaard, Kristiansen, Soumare, Winks, Ayew, El Khannous, Mavididi, Daka

Subs: Alves, Okoli, Decerdova-Reid, Choudhury, Skipp, Edouard, Iversen, Thomas, Buonanotte

Ohhhhhhh, that should be 2-0!

Wolves win the ball back on the left in their half through Joao Gomes.

He then plays a delightful one-two with Rayan Ait-Nouri that frees up the latter.

He slides a ball down the left of the box for Jorgen Strand Larsen.

The Norwegian has all the time in the world to pick out Goncalo Guedes to make it 2-0, but he hits his cross straight at Andre Onana.

That move deserved a goal because of the sublime way it started.

STRAIGHT FROM THE CORNER!

Wolves have the lead, and it's totally deserved, though Andre Onana will not want to see that one again!

Matheus Cunha delivers an in-swinging corner from the left.

It's a devilish delivery, but Onana gets nowhere near it as the ball flies over his head and nestles in the back of the net.

He wants a foul, but he's not getting anything.

It's the second time the Red Devils have directly conceded from a corner in the Premier League after Junior Stansilas for Bournemouth in 2015.

The Old Gold lead and are on course to get out of the relegation zone.

Immediately after the red card, the home side have the ball in the back of the net, but it's not going to count!

Nelson Semedo does very well on the right in the box to work the space for a cross.

He flashes the ball into the box and Jorgen Strand Larsen crashes a header into the back of the net.

However, the Norwegian was ahead of the ball when the cross came in, so it doesn't count.
