Ibrahima Konate jokingly questioned the decision to give Liverpool teammate Ryan Gravenberch man-of-the-match live on TV.

Konate was on the scoresheet as the Reds went top with a 2-1 comeback victory at Wolves on Saturday evening.

You have to talk with them I don't know who decides."

When told who had chosen Gravenberch, Konate said: "Gary Neville… thank you, Gary."

Erik ten Hag says he respects the critics and even embraces some of their suggestions as Manchester United's frequently under-fire manager prepares to take on Tottenham.

Sunday sees the stuttering Red Devils welcome Ange Postecoglou's side four days after their deflating 1-1 draw with FC Twente at an expectant Old Trafford.

Ten Hag was annoyed by United's mentality and toothlessness in a Europa League opener that followed a frustrating 0-0 stalemate at Crystal Palace.

Those results, but particularly Wednesday's performance, have increased the noise around United, but Ten Hag has long since learned how to deal with doubters.

"First of all, respect the criticism," the Dutchman said.

I need to know some, and some are very good advice."

After joking with a reporter at the press conference, Ten Hag continued: "But for me it's stay clinical and see where the team is, which areas we have to improve.

"Stay also methodical, that you guide the team in the right pathway and make sure you make the right steps to get the best out of the team."

Liverpool boss Arne Slot feels his side's early ascent to the top of the Premier League is not a "realistic view" of the table.

Life after Jurgen Klopp is not turning out to be too bad as the Reds climbed to the summit after goals from Ibrahima Konate and Mohamed Salah earned a 2-1 win at Wolves - their fifth victory in six league games.

Defeat at home to Nottingham Forest a fortnight ago remains their only blip as they have also won in the Champions League and Carabao Cup in a promising beginning to Slot's reign.

It is early days, but the evidence suggests they have the capacity to challenge for the title alongside Manchester City and Arsenal.

The Dutchman is calling for calm and says the table will not properly shape up until halfway through the campaign.

"Everyone is realistic enough, all the players they understand that six games into the season doesn't give you a realistic view on the league table," Slot said.

"That is more like 19 games that you can feel, 'Right, where are we?'.

"But it helps if you get some good results, especially if you bring in a new manager and being a successor of such a successful one.

"Everybody understands that if we'd have lost four or five of these first six fixtures life would have been a bit different to how it is now."

Mikel Arteta has reiterated he loves Pep Guardiola even after the Manchester City boss' angry response to his former assistant.

Arsenal were criticised for using the 'dark arts' to defend their lead at City last weekend before settling for a 2-2 draw in the dramatic clash.

When asked about those claims during the week, Arteta appeared to refer to his spell with Guardiola in the dugout, saying: "I was there for four years.

Hopefully that's clear."

There goes the final whistle, and it's another win on the road for Liverpool, which sends them top of the table.

Arne Slot's side were far from their best, but they didn't need to be to beat winless Wolves, who are now bottom of the table.

Ibrahima Konate opened the scoring with a towering header before he and Alisson Becker got in a muddle, allowing Rayan Ait-Nouri to equalise.

But just minutes later, Nelson Semedo fouled Diogo Jota in the box, and Mohamed Salah slammed in the penalty.

Meanwhile, Gary O'Neil's side look in deep trouble, and it was all a bit too much for Mario Lemina.

Great block from Ibrahima Konate!

Matheus Cunha does well in midfield to work some space and drive a low pass into Carlos Borges.

He runs at Trent Alexander-Arnold, and gets into the box.

But as he shoots, Konate gets back and makes an excellent block.

THAT DIDN'T LAST LONG!

Immediately, Liverpool break down the other end of the pitch and re-take the lead.

Trent Alexander-Arnold swings a lovely ball into the box.

Diogo Jota is ahead of Nelson Semedo, who brings him down, and the referee points to the spot.

Mohamed Salah steps up and sends Sam Johnstone the wrong way.

OUT OF NOWHERE!

Well, we have a game on our hands.

A through-ball is played into Jorgen Strand Larsen.

Ibrahima Konate holds him off and wants Alisson Becker to come and get the ball.

He doesn't, and the striker plays the ball back to Carlos Borges, who swipes the ball into the air.

It lands for Rayan Ait-Nouri, and he taps in.

Konate and Alisson are blaming each other.

What is going on?

The Reds should be 2-0 up, and Mohamed Salah should have a goal.

Sam Johnstone plays a pass into Mario Lemina on the edge of the Wolves box, and without looking he whips a pass across his box.

It lands perfectly for Salah, who fires wide of an empty goal.

That was shambolic all round.

Right, back underway at Molineux.

Can Gary O'Neil's side show something, anything?

Meanwhile, Liverpool will be looking for a couple more goals to kill the game.

Well, that's the end of the first 45 minutes, and the Reds have the lead.

In truth, neither team have offered much, but the one moment of quality is the difference.

Arne Slot will be pleased his side have the lead, but he won't be happy with the performance.

Meanwhile, the hosts have been so flat, and that has seeped into the Stands, with Molineux very quiet.

FIRST PREMIER LEAGUE GOAL!

Well, we needed something to liven this game up, and we've got it!

From a corner, the Liverpool players stay forward, and Diogo Jota beats his man on the left.

He delivers a wicked cross that is begging to be put away.

Ibrahima Konate climbs above everyone and powers his header through Sam Johnstone, who should do better.

How is that not 1-0?

Liverpool work the ball patiently and Andy Robertson is slipped in down the left.

He fires in a magnificent low cross that is begging to be put away.

Dominik Szoboszlai connects with the cross from inside the six-yard box, but he fires his shot straight at Sam Johnstone, who can't believe his luck.

Diogo Jota now also goes into the book.

This time, it's for a pretty bad but accidental challenge on Mario Lemina.

The striker is running behind the Wolves man when he stands the back of his ankle.

VAR has a look, but it remains a yellow card.

The hosts are on top here.

Nelson Semedo gets in down the right and whips a cross into the box.

Alisson Becker comes off his line and claws it away.

It comes to Rayan Ait-Nouri, and he clips a lovely cross into the box for Jorgen Strand Larsen, but Virgil van Dijk brilliantly clears.

Mario Lemina then does well on the right and his cross is whacked away by Ibrahima Konate.

Brief penalty appeals for the Reds are waved away.

Luis Diaz does well to find Andy Robertson on the overlap.

The Scotsman delivers a cross into the box.

Mohamed Salah looks to get on the end of it, but goes down after a tangle with Rayan Ait-Nouri.

VAR has a look but decides it's not a spot kick.

Trent Alexander-Arnold goes into the book for kicking the ball away.

He's adjudged to have fouled his man on the right, and as the referee blows his whistle, he pokes the ball away.

It's a daft booking, and he's going to need to be careful.

Okay, the final match of the day has just kicked off.

If Liverpool win, they will take top spot from Manchester City.

Arne Slot's side are in all red, and the hosts are wearing gold tops and black shorts.

That's the end of all the 3pm Premier League games, and there were some crackers.

Arsenal managed to take advantage of Manchester City dropping points against Newcastle to claim a huge 4-2 win over Leicester.

The Gunners were 2-0 up but were pulled back to 2-2, but scored twice in stoppage time to move level on points with City.

Chelsea beat Brighton 4-2, with Cole Palmer becoming the first player in top-flight history to score four goals inside the first 45 minutes of a game.

Brentford and West Ham played out a 1-1 draw.

Everton sealed their first three points of the season with a good 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace at Goodison Park.

And Nottingham Forest's unbeaten start to the season came to an end at the hands of Fulham as Raul Jimenez's penalty ensured the Cottagers won 1-0.

WHAT A HUGE GOAL THAT COULD BE!

The Gunners have snatched a late winner in the dying seconds.

Bukayo Saka swings a corner into the box, and it's absolute carnage as several Gunners players try to force the ball home, and it looks like Wilfred Ndidi gets the unfortunate touch.

If things stay the same, the Gunners will move level on points with Manchester City who dropped points against Newcastle earlier today.

And Troy Deeney is impressed.

Speaking on talkSPORT, he said: "This is a different Arsenal to the Arsenal of old.

"They've turned into the bullies, they've turned into the side that can win the game at any moment."

Riccardo Calafiori, you lucky boy!

Arsenal could be down to ten men at the Emirates as the Italian international gets away with a cynical foul while already on a booking.

Facundo Buonanotte complains to the referee about it, and he gets booked.

However, Troy Deeney thinks Calafiori got away with it.

Speaking on talkSPORT, he said: “They should have had a man sent off.

WOW!

Leicester have come from 2-0 down to haul themselves level at the Emirates, and what a goal this is!

It's good play down the left from Leicester and Wilfred Ndidi whips a cross to the far post.

There looks to be no danger, but James Justin arrives and cracks a volley at goal.

It's a brilliant effort that whistles in off the post to leave Arsenal stunned.

Even with Arsenal winning, Liverpool can move top of the Premier League this evening with a win over Wolves.

Meanwhile, the Old Gold are yet to win a league game.

They have problems in defence with Yerson Mosquera out for the season, but Toti Gomes is fit and comes into the team.

And Craig Dawson misses out as well and Santiago Bueno comes in.

Meanwhile, Darwin Nunez is ill, so Diogo Jota leads the line for Liverpool.

Wolves: Johnstone, Semedo, Bueno, Toti, Ait-Nouri, Lemina, Andre, J Gomes, Bellegarde, Cunha, Larsen

Subs: Sa, Doherty, Hwang, R Gomes, Doyle, Sarabia, Borges, Guedes, Pond

Liverpool: Alisson; TAA, Konate, VVD, Robertson; Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai; Salah, Jota, Diaz

Okay, Everton are on course for their first win of the season.

Dwight McNeil has followed up his stunning goal at the start of the second half with another.

Jordan Pickford drills a free-kick to the edge of the Palace box.

The ball drops for Jack Harrison, and he delivers a sublime cross into the area, and there is McNeil to finish beyond Dean Henderson.

Elsewhere, Tomas Soucek has West Ham back level against Brentford.

The goal came from some nice approach play before Michail Antonio's shot rolled into Soucek's path, and he slid the ball into the bottom corner.

THEY ARE BACK IN IT!

Jamie Vardy wins a free-kick.

Facundo Buonanotte delivers a decent ball into the area.

James Justin makes the first contact, and the ball deflects beyond David Raya.

Game on!
