talkSPORT understands that Manchester United have increased their scouting of Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki.
The 22-year-old is valued at £40 million by his club Parma, and it follows a string of error from Andre Onana.
Suzuki was born in the United States, but he is a Japanese international with 18 caps.
He only joined the Italian club in the summer for around £7 million, but he could be on his way to Old Trafford.
Onana has endured a tough week after being called out by Nemanja Matic, he went on to make two errors leading to goals during Man United's Europa League tie against Lyon last night.

The good news for Liverpool just keeps on coming this morning.
After Mohamed Salah signed a new two-year deal with the Reds, Alexis Mac Allister's dad has now claimed that he can't see his son leaving any time soon.
The Argentine midfielder has revealed in the past that he would like to play in Spain, but Liverpool fans can rest easy.
Speaking in Argentina, Mac Allister's dad said: "For now, I don't think so (leaving Liverpool).
Time will tell.
It is a big compliment to Richard Hughes because Mo Salah, as a free agent, can go to any club he wants to."

Mohamed Salah's new deal will see him bank £400,000-a-week at Liverpool, talkSPORT understands.
The 32-year-old has officially put pen to paper on a two-year contract at Anfield.
He had been set to depart Merseyside this summer with his deal to expire at the end of the season.
But his future lies at Liverpool, with talkSPORT understanding he remains on his previous salary.
His contract, which includes bonuses, keeps him as one of the highest-paid players in the Premier League alongside Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne.

Mohamed Salah has signed a new two-year deal at Liverpool to end any uncertainty over his future.
The Reds winger was set to become a free agent at the end of the season - leading to rumours over a move to Saudi Arabia.
Salah himself admitted he was 'more out than in' earlier in the campaign.
But he has since signed on the dotted line to give the Merseyside outfit a huge push as they close in on their second Premier League title.
The Egyptian has been the standout player in the top-flight this term - chipping in with 27 goals and 17 assists.
And he will be looking to mark his new deal by getting on the score sheet once again in Sunday's clash with Liverpool.

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou is expecting a very tense second leg in Germany next week.
Spurs were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Frankfurt tonight, meaning the quarter-final tie is still undecided.
"I can't ask any more of the lads," Postecoglou said.
If we repeat that performance we give ourselves a chance.
"I don't expect the second game to be to open, it'll be cagey affair and it'll come down to moments.
"The second leg is going to be tight for sure, it might even go to extra-time, we're going to need all the lads ready to go."
