Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou is NOT under immediate threat of the sack, talkSPORT understands.

Spurs have dropped into the bottom half of the Premier League table after losing seven of their 15 Premier League games this season.

Chairman Daniel Levy is aware Spurs' have been hit by injuries to a number of key players and is willing to give Postecoglou more time to turn their fortunes around.

The Australian would also like funds in January to strengthen the squad.

Postecoglou spent £120million in the summer on the signings of Dominic Solanke, Archie Gray, Wilson Odobert and Lucas Bergvall.

The former Celtic boss has been in charge in North London since last summer, with his contract running until 2027.

Cristian Romero has appeared to criticise Tottenham's owners following their defeat to Chelsea.

The defender was asked by talkSPORT's Miguel Sanchez if Spurs have fallen behind the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City in terms of investment in the squad.

Romero responded by explaining: "The truth is, I would say no comment, but...

"Manchester City competes for the title every year, you see how Liverpool strengthens its squad, Chelsea strengthens their squad, doesn't do well, strengthens again, and now they're seeing results.

"Those are the things to imitate.

Pochettino sings a different song.

"The bottom line is, is if you don't win anything and you're commercially a very successful football club and you built a wonderful stadium, you're going to be sat in a situation where people like Jamie Carragher or anybody else, or even the Tottenham fans that have their moments with Daniel Levy, are going to sit there and say, time for a change."

Both Alisson and Diogo Jota returned to training on Monday, Fabrizio Romano reports.

It is currently unclear when they will be able to return to action, though, with their comebacks being managed by staff.

Federico Chiesa remains sidelined with illness delaying his return to training.

Allison has not played since October 5 due to a hamstring injury having also spent time out due to a thigh issue this season.

Meanwhile, Jota has missed the last 11 matches with an abdominal injury.

The Reds are back in action in Spain on Tuesday before hosting Fulham on Saturday afternoon.

David Seaman believes that Man City are still very much in the title race despite dropping points against Crystal Palace.

Pep Guardiola's side are eight points off top after a torrid run of form, but the former goalkeeper believes that they'll be back.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Seaman said: “If you look at Man City and the run that they’re on – okay, it’s not the best but every team up there will have a little blip or a wobble.

“Liverpool haven’t had one yet, City have had quite a big one and even Arsenal had a couple of games when they should have won and didn’t.

“Chelsea are sneaking in there, but they aren’t sneaking.

He’s been in the game long enough and around teams like Burnley at the bottom and knows what it’s like.

“He knows he’s not going to win every week and knows that he’ll come in for some stick.

“I played for Everton and the fans are brilliant there – they get behind the team and it’s one of the best atmospheres I’ve played at.

“Sean won’t let it get to him and for me, he’s still the right man for the job.”

He added: “The only aim this season is to stay in the league.

“They’ve got the new stadium coming and it’d be an absolute disaster if they were to go down this season but I’m pretty confident they’ll stay up.”

David Moyes is open to a shock third spell at West Ham, talkSPORT understands.

Julen Lopetegui replaced Moyes at the London Stadium this summer, but is under huge pressure.

Fail to get a result against Wolves on Monday night, in a game dubbed ‘El Sackico’, and he would unlikely last much longer.

Now it is understood that Moyes would be open to heading back.

West Ham have had discussions with former Juventus boss Max Allegri, but he would only want to take over next summer.

The Hammers could turn to a caretaker manager should they sack Lopetegui.

Ally McCoist is convinced that Mohamed Salah wants to stay with Liverpool after contract talks were opened.

The Egyptian star has been outspoken about his future but is now in talks over extending his contract at Anfield, with his deal set to expire in the summer.

Speaking on talkSPORT Breakfast, McCoist said: "The way he’s been handling it in the press, I’m under the impression that he’s doing that to let the Liverpool fans know that he’s quite keen to stay if he can get an offer that suits him.

“There’s clearly negotiations going on but that first contract offer is a step in the right direction because along with Van Dijk and Trent, in an ideal world Liverpool fans would be ecstatic if they all stayed, but I’m not sure that’s going to be the case.”

Simon Jordan and Martin Keown have wished Michail Antonio well, admitting that he is 'lucky to be alive' after his car crash.

Simon Jordan told White And Jordan: “Looking at the state of the car, part of him must be thinking that he was lucky to come out of it alive.

“When I saw it it reminded me of Chris Coleman when he was at Fulham – I hope it doesn’t go the same way for Michail as it did for Chris because he couldn’t come back from it.

“It’s a terrible situation.

That's no excuse, but we have to make an effort to bring back the players as quickly as possible, because with the schedules nowadays, it's just difficult to cope with.

"We're just 12, 13 players and some of them are not even 100 per cent fit."
