Arne Slot wants to enjoy Mohamed Salah's talents for as long as possible after the Egyptian scored one and set up two goals in Liverpool's 3-0 win away to rivals Manchester United.

Salah, 32, is in the final season of his Liverpool contract and afterwards admitted he treated it as his last appearance at Old Trafford, but he used it to show he remains an elite talent as he twice set up Luis Diaz in the first half before getting the killer third in the 56th minute.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the match, Salah said: "I was coming to the game, I was saying 'Look, it could be the last time'.

Salah said after Liverpool's 3-0 win over Manchester United today: “I had a good summer, I had a long time to work on myself and think positively because, as you know, this is my last year at the club.

“I just want to enjoy it, and I don’t want to think about it.

“I feel free to play football, and we’ll see what happens next year.

“Heading into the game, I said ‘look, this could be the last time’.

“Nobody has spoken to me about a contract, so I’ll play my last season, and see at the end of the season.

“It’s not up to me, it’s up to the club, but we will see.”

But Dutchman Gravenberch is hoping that Salah, who's been with Liverpool for seven years, will extend his time on Merseyside.

Gravenberch told talkSPORT: "If you see him today, he is a really good player and really good for the club, but at the end the decision is for himself.

If it's me, I want Mo to stay."

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has announced that this is his last season at Anfield.

The Egyptian has enjoyed an incredible start to the campaign, being involved in every goal they've scored.

But with his contract set to expire at the end of the year, he's told Sky Sports that he will be leaving the Reds.

He said: "I had a good summer, I had a long time to work on myself and think positively because, as you know, this is my last year at the club.

"I just want to enjoy it, and I don't want to think about it.

"I feel free to play football, and we'll see what happens next year.

"Heading into the game, I said 'look, this could be the last time'.

"Nobody has spoken to me about a contract, so I'll play my last season, and see at the end of the season.

"It's not up to me, it's up to the club, but we will see."

Meanwhile, he was delighted with his team's display against Man United.

Manchester United were battered 3-0 by Liverpool this afternoon at Old Trafford, and Roy Keane isn't happy at all.

The United legend ripped into the performance from the Red Devils in the immediate aftermath of the game.

He said: "It was far from an even game.

"Liverpool were very, very good.

The game was over after 50 or 60 minutes.

"For the game to be over after an hour, it's hard to accept."

Arne Slot heads into the international break with a 100 per cent win record, having not conceded a goal, and they look brilliant.

Luis Diaz grabbed a double, including a lovely right-footed finish beyond Andre Onana before Mohamed Salah added a third in the second half.

In truth, they could have had more, but had to settle for three.

Meanwhile, it was another chastening day for Man United, who were blown away on their patch.

Erik ten Hag's substitutions were booed and Casemiro was hooked at half time after a shambolic performance in the first 45 minutes.

The Red Devils head into the international break with three points from their opening three games.
