Liverpool endured a week to forget as they crashed out of the Champions League against PSG on Tuesday before losing their grip on the Carabao Cup in a disappointing 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United at Wembley on Sunday – but their Premier League aspirations are still achievable.
Liverpool must quickly regroup as they focus exclusively on the Premier League title race.
The Reds don’t play again until April 2, when they face local rivals Everton.
And while the Reds hope to enter the 2025/26 Premier League season as Champions, a change for next season has already been confirmed.
Indeed, the Premier League has officially they will be partnering with global sportswear giant PUMA as its new official match ball supplier from next season.
The landmark agreement, revealed Monday morning, marks the end of Nike’s historic 25-year association with England’s top flight.
The new partnership, commencing from summer 2025, represents one of the most significant commercial changes for the league in a quarter-century.
Since the 2000-01 season, Nike has been the exclusive provider of Premier League match balls, creating iconic designs that have been central to countless memorable moments in English football.
“We are delighted to be welcoming PUMA as the Official Ball Supplier of the Premier League,” said Richard Masters, Premier League Chief Executive.
“PUMA has a proud history of involvement in football over many years and we look forward to seeing the new ball used at all our matches from this summer onwards.
Their global reach and commitment to excellence align with our values, and we are excited to work together on a range of projects to drive forward the incredible work taking place in communities and inspire fans worldwide.
This agreement further strengthens PUMA’s position in top-tier European football, adding the Premier League to its existing portfolio of ball supply partnerships with La Liga (since 2019-20) and Serie A (since 2022-23).
