Liverpool could win the Premier League as early as this weekend
Liverpool are closing in on the Premier League title after going 13 points clear of Arsenal at the top of the table - and there's a chance they could be champions as early as this weekend.
It is only a matter of time before Arne Slot's men become champions as the Reds prepare to play Leicester at the King Power Stadium.
It's been a superb season for Liverpool after winning 23 games, drawing seven and losing just two, with heroics from Mohamed Salah - who has netted 32 times - pushing them closer to glory.
The Reds were also boosted by Salah and Virgil van Dijk signing new contracts in the last week - which will give them hope of winning more honours next season too.
They'll hope to cap off that positivity by becoming champions at the earliest time and it is mathematically possible that it could happen this weekend.

There is a chance the Reds could become champions this weekend, but they'll need Ipswich to do them a big favour.

But if Liverpool beat Leicester on Sunday and Arsenal are beaten away at Ipswich just hours earlier, then Liverpool will officially become Premier League champions.
Liverpool must beat Leicester this weekend and hope Arsenal lose to Ipswich to win the title
In that scenario, Liverpool would be on 79 points, which would be impossible for Arsenal to catch up with from the last five matches remaining.
Should Arsenal beat Ipswich and Liverpool beat Leicester, Slot's men could still win the league on Wednesday if Arsenal were to lose at home to Crystal Palace.
If the Gunners avoid defeat there then Liverpool would seal the title with a win at home to Tottenham Hotspur next Sunday.
The relegation battle has been one of the most predictable in recent years and the bottom three has stayed largely the same for much of the campaign.
We've already seen Southampton's drop to the Championship confirmed at the earliest point in Premier League history with a record seven games remaining.
Leicester will surely join them next and their task to avoid relegation looks nigh-on impossible.
Ruud van Nistelrooy's side must beat Liverpool on Sunday or their relegation will be confirmed - not even a draw would be enough.
Leicester will almost certainly be sent down this weekend - they must beat Liverpool to stay alive
There is a chance Ipswich could be sent down along with Leicester on the same weekend, but it depends on other results from the teams around them.
