Liverpool may have been dumped out of the FA Cup weeks ago but there was still sufficient reason for Reds supporters to keep an eye on events in the quarter-finals of the competition on Saturday.
Not least because they will now impact the Premier League title battle with Arsenal.
Brighton's defeat at home to Nottingham Forest means Liverpool's remaining fixtures are unlikely to be dramatically altered.
The Reds are at the Seagulls on the penultimate weekend of the Premier League season, which is also when the FA Cup final takes place.
Arsenal, though, now face a reshuffle given their fixture at home to Crystal Palace was due to take place on April 26 but will now have to be rearranged after Palace booked their place in the FA Cup semi-finals, which take place that weekend, with a 3-0 win at Fulham.

Given Arsenal are in action for the next three midweeks with a Premier League game at home to Fulham on Tuesday followed by the two legs of their Champions League quarter-final against Real Madrid, the earliest date for the Palace game will be Wednesday, April 23 due to the Gunners being at Ipswich Town the previous Sunday.
That, though, could impact Palace's preparations for their FA Cup semi-final and thus potentially work in Arsenal's favour, while any later date would be influenced by whether Arsenal continue to progress in the Champions League.
And should the fixture be rearranged for after the initial April 26 date, it would give Liverpool an opportunity to further open the gap at the top and crank up the pressure on Arsenal when they entertain Tottenham Hotspur on April 27.
At present, the Reds - who stand 12 points clear with nine games remaining - are scheduled to play after Arsenal for each round of fixtures until the pair meet on the second weekend of May.

Arne Slot's side need 16 more points to secure the title, although five wins - provided one is against the Gunners - would be sufficient to claim a record-equalling 20th title.
