Speaking to TNT Sports, the Brazilian international admitted that his performance tonight against PSG was the best of his career, with Alisson noting how Slot told him and Liverpool’s players beforehand how intense the game would be.

With a new goalkeeper coming in next season, Alisson’s performance served as a timely reminder that the South American superstar remains one of the best shot-stoppers in the world and an integral part of Liverpool’s plans.

And tonight, Alisson knew that he produced something special, with the former Serie A goalkeeper saying when asked if today’s performance against PSG was the best of his career: “Yeah, probably of my life, so far!

“The manager was telling us how hard it would be to play against PSG with how good they are on the ball, so we had to be ready to suffer, so when you see the clips from the opponent and know what is coming and the quality on their side, we worked hard [to cope with them].”

Liverpool will have a new goalkeeper to contend with next season in Giorgi Mamardashvili when the Georgia international returns from his loan spell at Valencia with Caoimhin Kelleher expected to leave Anfield for good.
