Liverpool have been backed by two pundits to overcome rivals Everton in the Merseyside derby on Wednesday night, but a third is backing the Toffees to get a draw from the game.
The two sides meet at Anfield in the 8pm kick-off as Liverpool look to increase the gap to second back to 12 points following Arsenal’s win over Fulham 24 hours earlier.
The last Merseyside derby just a couple of months ago saw Everton score a stoppage-time equaliser in a 2-2 draw.
But while former Liverpool man Danny Murphy believes it will be a tough game, he is backing Arne Slot’s men to take all three points.

“I think it will be tough, I think they’ll (Everton) be hard, they’ll be gritty, they’re in good form,” he said on talkSPORT on Wednesday morning.
“But I think Liverpool will win.”
However, presenter Jim White was not in agreement with the former midfielder, pointing to the impact that David Moyes has had at Goodison Park.
“I think the Moyes effect.”
That statement was met with a look of surprise by Simon Jordan, who gave his own opinion on the game.
“This is Anfield, this is not Goodison Park with the last derby where they get the extra impetus,” he said.
“Liverpool, I would suspect, but a lot of my tips aren’t worth anything, will take care of Everton tonight.”
Everton go into the game having drawn their last four Premier League matches.
