Former Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez reckons that Real Madrid could provide Trent Alexander-Arnold with a better long-term home than the Anfield club can.
He's already free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with clubs outside England having entered the final six months of his deal in Liverpool.
Real approached Liverpool on New Year's Eve with a transfer offer for Alexander-Arnold, but it was rejected by the Reds.
Benitez holds both Liverpool and Los Blancos in high regard having supported the Spanish club since a young age, as well as managing both sides.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he admitted that Alexander-Arnold might progress even further with the Galacticos.
"He's an offensive defender and he's playing as a midfielder sometimes," the former manager explained.
"Real Madrid is an attacking team, the best team in Spain and they will be the best team because they have the potential.
For an offensive defender and in an offensive team, you have more chances to make assists and create situations in attack - they will be good for him as a player.
"He's doing that at Liverpool, but with Real Madrid you can guarantee he will do that for years.
As a Liverpool fan, you would say him staying is much better because he gives us something special.
"But if he goes, and as a Real Madrid kid all my life, that will also be good for Real Madrid and for him." Alexander-Arnold is not the only Liverpool player out of contract at the end of the season with Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah's deals also coming to an end - unless they sign extensions.
