Luis Diaz has enjoyed his best season yet at Liverpool, and the winger’s form has attracted some big interest.
FC Barcelona have been rumoured with the Colombian international as Liverpool struggle to commit Diaz to a new contract, with the former FC Porto star’s current deal with the Anfield side set to expire next summer.
Another club who are interested in signing Diaz is Al-Nassr, with the Saudi Arabian club looking to add to their attacking ranks this summer as the Liverpool winger has been identified as a potential option for Cristiano Ronaldo’s side.
Yet it now appears that Al-Nassr have changed tact going into the summer, with a Liverpool target now becoming the new priority over Diaz.

According to GiveMeSport, Al-Nassr have made West Ham attacker Mohammed Kudus their new priority for the summer, with the Saudi Pro League side set to make an £85m bid for the former Ajax forward in the window.
Kudus has been linked with Liverpool in recent weeks amid reports that Diaz could leave in the off-season, though Al-Nassr’s switch in interest to the Ghana international could change a lot of potential plans for the Reds.
Indeed, Kudus heading to Saudi Arabia might take one target off the market for Liverpool, but it does increase the Reds’ odds of retaining Diaz, who many fans would like to see sign a new deal given how good the forward has been this season.

And if Liverpool were ready to spend big on Kudus, money set aside for the deal can now be funnelled into chasing other targets, with multiple players on Arne Slot’s list heading into this summer’s transfer window.
Liverpool might have secured huge wins in signing Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk to new contracts, but football is a sport that stops for nobody, and Diaz is now next up for the Reds when it comes to tying down their best players.
With 12 months remaining on his current contract, Liverpool can’t afford to wait around like they did with Salah and Van Dijk and wait until the end of next season to announce Diaz’s new deal, especially with suitors already lining up for the Colombian.
Time is of the essence for Liverpool, and the longer they wait around to reach an agreement with Diaz, fans will again become frustrated with the latest contract saga that could soon engulf Anfield in the coming months.
