The January transfer is just over a week away from opening, and one player who Liverpool are seemingly interested in signing is AC Milan winger Christian Pulisic.
The USA international has been one of the best attackers in Serie A since making the move to the Rossoneri last year, with Liverpool interested in signing Pulisic as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah if the 32-year-old Anfield star were to leave next year.
With Salah expected to sign a new Liverpool contract before the end of 2024, though, the chances of the Reds needing a right-sided attacker could soon become obsolete if the Egyptian international does indeed pen fresh terms with the Reds in the coming days.
Yet Milan themselves are now putting a plan into place to keep Pulisic at the San Siro.

According to CalcioMercato, Milan are at work to commit Pulisic to a new contract with the specific intention in mind to stop Liverpool’s interest in the former Chelsea attacker, with the Italian giants ready to give the forward a pay increase.
Noted by Zlatan Ibrahimovic as an ‘extraordinary’ player as per Milan Reports, Pulisic has been one of Milan’s best players this season, with the 26-year-old rediscovering his form in a big way in Lombardy since leaving the Premier League last year.

And as per Pulisic’s stats for this season, it’s easy to see why Liverpool are interested in the winger, with the American captain even scoring against the Reds earlier this campaign in Milan’s 3-1 loss against the Anfield side in the UEFA Champions League.
Indeed, Pulisic would have been a logical replacement for Salah had the Liverpool no.
11 announced he was leaving in 2025, yet with the winger seemingly staying put, Milan are making a smart decision in trying to keep their own star attacker tied down on an improved contract.
