Luis Diaz has been one of Liverpool’s best players this season, and as a result, transfer interest has emerged for the 28-year-old.

The Colombian international is on course to enjoy his best year yet with the Reds with Diaz scoring 15 goals and bagging eight assists in all competitions this season, with the forward making the left-wing position his own under Arne Slot.

With the former FC Porto star’s contract expiring in under 18 months, though, there is a growing chance that the South American winger could leave Liverpool this summer, with Al-Nassr eyeing Diaz as a potential alternative to Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior.

And Liverpool have now set their demands for Diaz should the attacker decide to leave Merseyside this summer.

According to CaughtOffside, Liverpool have put a big asking price on Diaz’s head amid growing interest from FC Barcelona and clubs in Saudi Arabia, with the Reds demanding €80m-€85m (£68m-£73m) for the 28-year-old.

As per the report, bids could come in late for Diaz, with interested parties likely to bid their time to time before making a move for the winger, where Liverpool are expected to spend big in the summer transfer window.

Jamie Carragher has demanded Liverpool to make as many as six signings with Slot on a mission to build a squad that can both retain the Premier League title and challenge for the UEFA Champions League and domestic titles.

And as good as Diaz has been this season for Liverpool, an offer worth over £70m for the Colombian international will be too good for the Reds to turn down, especially with the attacker currently at the peak of his powers.

Diaz’s form has been exceptional this season, with the winger enjoying his best year yet with the Reds as Slot has finally cracked the code on how to get the best out of the South American attacker in the left-wing position.

Yet as good as Diaz has been, the winger is a player who can be replaced, with Liverpool arguably already having such a player in their squad in Cody Gakpo, who is also on course to have his most productive campaign yet for the Reds.

Indeed, Liverpool know that a big offer for Diaz will be too good to turn down, and the Colombian is replaceable despite the attacking threat the former Porto man has offered the Anfield side this season.
