Liverpool’s summer is set to be one for the ages, with plenty of changes expected at Anfield.

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s pending move to Real Madrid will shake up the Liverpool squad in a big way as Arne Slot looks to bring in a replacement for the England international, with as many as five new signings expected to be made by the Reds.

With Luis Diaz now attracting interest from Saudi Arabia, there’s a real chance that Liverpool will see changes in every position in the squad as the backroom staff aims to build a new team that could go on to compete for everything once again next season.

And Italian giants Inter Milan have now expressed interest in signing one Liverpool player despite a clear stance already from the Reds.

According to Spazio Inter, Inter Mlian are the latest club to join the race to sign Liverpool centre-back Jarell Quansah, who has been rumoured with an exit from Anfield heading into the summer transfer window.

Newcastle United are also keeping tabs on Quansah, with the Toon valuing the England international at £50m as Quansah has once again established himself as a top Premier League prospect at Liverpool this season.

Yet Liverpool and Slot have already made it clear that Quansah is not for sale this summer, with the Dutch manager keen to keep working with the 22-year-old, who has shown promising signs of becoming a real mainstay with the Reds.

And for Inter, Liverpool’s stance on Quansah has virtually ended any hope already of the England international swapping Anfield for the San Siro, even if the defender would become a regular for the Serie A giants.

With 22 appearances in all competitions this season, Quansah perhaps hasn’t played as much football as the Liverpool academy graduate was hoping for, with Ibrahima Konate enjoying his first year at Liverpool remaining mostly fit and healthy.

Yet with Liverpool set for a big summer rebuild, keeping hold of players who can offer something to the squad will be crucial in Slot taking the Reds to the next level, with Quansah one such player who can bring a lot of value to the backline.

Indeed, the 22-year-old has impressed whenever given the chance by Slot, and with Quansah now showing he can play at right-back if needed, the defender offers crucial versatility to the back if Liverpool are looking for an option.
