The summer transfer window might be over three months away, but rumours surrounding Liverpool are beginning to heat up.
With the Premier League title race all-but over, there’s good reason why attentions in the Liverpool fanbase are already shifting to the off-season, where Arne Slot is expected to spend big having signed just two players last summer.
Milos Kerkez remains a top target for Liverpool whilst Antonee Robinson remains on the Anfield side’s radar, with the defence set for a major facelift as all three main positions look set to have new recruits come in to help improve the squad.
Yet Liverpool could miss out on one rumoured target to Inter Milan, who are now readying an audacious plan to secure one of Bayern Munich’s best players this summer.

According to TeamTalk, the Nerazzurri are keen to beat the likes of Liverpool to Joshua Kimmich, who is expected to leave Bayern at the end of this season with the Germany international’s contract coming to an end.
With Liverpool unwilling to match Kimmich’s Bayern wages, there’s a real chance that the 30-year-old midfielder could end up joining Inter, who have shown in recent years that they’re willing to spend to bring in top quality players.
Lauded by Julian Nagelsmann as a ‘world-class’ player, Kimmich’s ability to play central midfield and right-back has made the Bayern star one of the most in-demand free-agents heading into the summer transfer window this year.

And for Liverpool, who will need a new right-back with Trent Alexnader-Arnold set to join Real Madrid this summer for free, missing out on Kimmich to a European rival in Inter will feel like a heavy blow, especially with how perfect the German appears to be on paper for the Reds.

Replacing Alexander-Arnold will potentially be Liverpool’s first and most pressing matter in the summer transfer window given just how big a hole the England international is going to leave in Slot’s squad going into next season.
And if Kimmich opts for a move to Inter, an alternative will be needed for the Reds, though options have been plentiful in recent weeks following the closure of the January market and with rumours surrounding Alexander-Arnold’s move to Madrid increasing.
Flamengo’s Wesley has emerged as a target for Liverpool whilst Feyenoord defender Givairo Read is also wanted by the Reds, two options who could offer a lot of long-term value for the Anfield side as potential replacements for Alexander-Arnold.
