The Reds are set for a busy transfer window as Arne Slot looks to bring in several new faces in order to keep the Premier League leaders competitive next season with Alexander Isak being Liverpool’s top target.
Jamie Carragher believes Slot doesn’t have faith in several Liverpool players and the majority of these could be heading for the exit door this summer.
One Reds talent that has not featured much throughout the current season under Slot is Jarell Quansah and the Liverpool boss has now made his plans for the centre-back clear heading into the 2025/26 campaign.

It was reported this week that Newcastle are interested in Quansah and that the Magpies believe they can secure the defender’s services this summer for around £30m plus add-ons.
The report states that Newcastle’s admiration for Quansah remains, however, Liverpool are planning for next season with the defender on board amid speculation over his future.

The Merseyside club are not considering the sale of the academy graduate during the upcoming transfer window as he is a big part of Slot’s plans.
Liverpool remain confident that Quansah can have a big future at Anfield and how highly he is rated outside of the Merseyside club can be seen in his recent call-up to the England squad by Thomas Tuchel.
Quansah impressed Slot during Liverpool’s pre-season preparations, but the Dutch coach has not shown the same faith he had in the defender then throughout the 2024/25 campaign.
The centre-back has only played 22 times for the Reds this season, while only receiving a total of 1088 minutes of action, and there were even reports back in January that Slot believed Quansah was going backwards in his development.
With Trent Alexander-Arnold set to join Real Madrid, Quansah staying means that the Reds are unlikely to sign a replacement for the right-back and will instead focus on other areas.
This decision is an indication that Slot is ready to make Conor Bradley the starter in his team next season and Quansah will remain at Anfield to provide backup at both right-back and at center-back.
