The summer transfer window is two months away from opening, with Liverpool set for a busy off-season.
Arne Slot’s side are on course to win the Premier League with the Reds needing just five wins in their final nine games to secure the English championship, with few Liverpool fans expecting the title to return to Anfield this season.
Despite such a dominant season in the Premier League, supporters are also bracing for a slew of deals to happen this summer, with Liverpool eyeing up five new signings with some big players expected to depart, such as Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid.
Yet Liverpool could now end up starting a bidding war for one rumoured target who is also attracting interest from the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United.

According to GiveMeSport, Liverpool face the prospect of starting a bidding war to land Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike, who is also being watched by the likes of Arsenal and United heading into the summer.
As per the report, the France youth international could cost as much as £60m in the transfer window, with Ekitike’s form this season for Frankfurt catching the attention of Liverpool, who are on the hunt for a new centre-forward.

With Liverpool unwilling to meet Newcastle United’s demands for Alexander Isak, Ekitike would be a suitable backup for the Premier League superstar, especially with the Frankfurt youngster being lauded via GiveMeSport as ‘insane’ this season.
Yet with Liverpool now potentially being in a position to start a bidding war for Ekitike, the Reds might have to move fast if they’re to avoid paying over the odds for the striker, which could be hard with Arsenal and United also in the mix.
Liverpool’s interest in Ekitike is a new revelation leading into the summer, with the Frankfurt attacker a player who this season has earned his way onto the radar for top sides across Europe after an impressive year in Germany.
Yet heading into the transfer window, the last thing Liverpool need in regards to their interest in Ekitike is a bidding war, with the attacker’s price tag of £60m already quite steep given what the Reds are looking to spend in the market.
Indeed, Ekitike would be an excellent fit for Liverpool if Isak is unavailable this summer, and sparking a bidding war with rival clubs could lead to the Reds missing out on a top target to a Premier League side.
