Liverpool are on course to win their second Premier League title, with Arne Slot proving himself to be a dream successor for Jurgen Klopp.
The former Feyenoord manager has been the perfect appointment for the Reds with Slot taking the squad left behind by Klopp and evolving it into one of the best in Europe and taking a number of players to new heights.
Cody Gakpo recently lauded Ryan Gravenberch for the strides the Dutch midfielder has made since establishing himself as one of Slot’s most important players, with Mohamed Salah now the favourite to win the Ballon d’Or after a season to remember for the winger.
Indeed, one of the key factors behind Slot’s success has been his ability to keep the Liverpool squad as fresh as possible, and one of the few players currently out injured could now be on course to feature again before the end of the season.

According to the Daily Mail, Joe Gomez could be back in action for Liverpool before the end of this season having gone under the knife to resolve a hamstring injury that has hampered the England international all season.
The defender picked up an injury in the Reds’ FA Cup loss to Plymouth Argyle with Gomez missing from Liverpool training ever since the fixture, with the former Charlton Athletic man one of two players absent from the first-team squad due to fitness issues, alongside Conor Bradley.
With Jamie Carragher once lauding Gomez as ‘outstanding’, the versatile centre-back’s absence has been an issue for Slot this season with the Liverpool manager having to heavily rely on Ibrahima Konate and Virgil van Dijk for the spine of the defence.
However, with Gomez now expected to return for Liverpool before the end of the season, there’s a good chance that the defender can get a string of games under his belt heading into the summer, where the 27-year-old could be sold.

With Liverpool set to invest in five positions in the summer, it makes sense that some first-team players will have to move on to both raise funds for new signings as well as to help with the ongoing evolution of the squad.
And given Gomez’s injury record this season and how close the defender came to joining Newcastle United last year, there’s a good chance that Liverpool are again considering selling the former Charlton man in the summer.
Should Liverpool once again find themselves subject to a big offer from Gomez, the Reds will be wise to allow the 27-year-old defender to leave, especially if the England international has dreams of being a key starter for a top side away from Merseyside.
