Karetsas has made quite the splash this season with both Genk and Greece, with the youngster enjoying a sensational start to his footballing career after becoming a regular for club and country at just 17-years-old.
And for Liverpool, taking a punt on Karetsas could be worth the financial gamble for the Reds, though the Merseyside giants need to be smart in how they go about constructing a deal for the Belgium-born wonderkid.
With just two goals and four assists this season in all competitions, another year or two of development could be what Karetsas needs before making a big move to the Premier League, and Liverpool can reach an agreement to ensure that the youngster is still playing regular football until he’s ready for the big time.
