Liverpool are set to be one of the biggest players in the summer transfer window, though the Reds won’t be the only ones.
Arsenal and Manchester City are expected to spend big in the off-season after failing to mount much of a Premier League title challenge alongside Liverpool, who could be confirmed champions this week with a win against Tottenham.
As a result to Arsenal and City going for broke this summer, the two sides are likely to clash with Liverpool for a number of targets, with the Gunners and the Reds both interested in signing Jorrel Hato from Ajax.
And Liverpool could now find themselves fighting with Arsenal and City for one of the most highly sought-after players in the Bundesliga this summer.

According to CaughtOffside, Liverpool are in the race to sign Bayer Leverkusen superstar Florian Wirtz, with Arsenal and City in the mix for the Germany international, who could leave the Bundesliga this summer.
As per the report, Leverkusen are resigned to losing Wirtz this summer, with the reigning German champions setting a price tag as high as €130m (£110m) for the 21-year-old attacking midfielder, who this season has again been exceptional.
Liverpool have been linked with Wirtz in the past, with the Leverkusen superstar likely to move to the Premier League should the youngster opt to leave his boyhood club this summer, though Arsenal and City’s interest does complicate matters for the Reds.

And with midfield not a priority for Liverpool this summer, the likes of Arsenal and City could have a real edge over Wirtz, who could also find moves to north London or Manchester appealing given their projects for next season.
Wirtz is without question one of the best talents in world football and a player who could one day win the Ballon d’Or if he continues to improve every season whilst delivering at the highest level in the game for club and country.
Yet for Liverpool this summer, the pending Premier League champions have bigger problems in their squad to address than signing a player like Wirtz, even if the German international would be a dream fit for Arne Slot’s side.
The backline needs serious work if Liverpool are to retain the title next season, and with Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz linked with moves away from Anfield, reworking the front line is also a top priority for the Reds this summer.
