Liverpool are in the market for a new striker this summer, with Hugo Ekitike one of the names linked with the Reds.
The Eintracht Frankfurt attacker has been in great form this season for the Bundesliga side, with Liverpool now one of the clubs eyeing Ekitike as the Bundesliga side brace themselves for offers for the former PSG attacker.
With Ekitike currently valued at £60m, the France youth international’s asking price has been steadily rising all year, with Premier League interest beginning to mount for the 22-year-old striker, who is also wanted by the likes of Arsenal and Manchester.
And Liverpool have now been delivered a potential warning in their interest to sign Ekitike this summer.

According to Bild, Ekitike’s price tag could grow between now and the end of the season, with Frankfurt currently valuing the former Ligue 1 wonderkid at €80m (£70m) heading into the summer transfer window.
As per the report, Liverpool are one of a handful of top sides interested in signing Ekitike, with the likes of AC Milan, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan also chasing the Frankfurt youngster, who is more likely than ever to leave the Bundesliga side.
With Ekitike in great form and interest building every single week for the young striker, Liverpool’s bid to sign the 22-year-old is going to grow weaker the more Frankfurt hike up their price for the forward leading into the off-season market.

However, with Liverpool in desperate need of a striker, Ekitike’s asking price could become irrelevant if that attacker proves he is a dream signing for the Reds, especially with options like Alexander Isak proving to be too expensive already.
At 22-years-old, Ekitike is one of the most exciting strikers in all of Europe, with Frankfurt getting the best out of the former PSG man and elevating his game to an exciting level heading into the summer transfer window.
And for Liverpool, Ekitike should be considered the new main target for the striker position, even with Frankfurt continuing to raise their asking price for the attacker and competition ever growing for the forward.
Indeed, Ekitike’s asking price is still way below what Newcastle are demanding for Isak, and at 22, the French youngster has a great chance to develop into the striker of Arne Slot’s dreams at Liverpool, a prospect which will be most exciting for supporters.
