Liverpool are on course to win the Premier League title, with attention already on the summer transfer window.
Arne Slot’s side have been the best team in England by some distance, with Liverpool managing to keep the bulk of their squad healthy for the majority of the season whilst keeping results consistent to build a massive lead over Arsenal in second place.
With Jamie Carragher suggesting Liverpool could make six signings in the summer, the off-season is expected to be a busy one for the Reds, who could see huge changes in virtually every position if the Anfield side play their cards correctly.
And one player who has been linked with Liverpool now looks set to leave his Premier League team at long last this summer.

According to TeamTalk, Kaoru Mitoma is set to depart Brighton & Hove Albion this summer with the Japanese international attracting interest from the likes of Liverpool and Saudi Arabia, with the Seagulls demanding £80m for the winger.
Carragher once lauded Mitoma as ‘Messi-like’ after one move this season against Chelsea as per the Premier League’s official website, with the attacker still showing signs of brilliance for Brighton despite his raw numbers being quite disappointing.

Mitoma was linked with Liverpool last summer with the Japanese forward viewed as a potential squad option for the Reds, with Slot’s side still interested in the 27-year-old with Federico Chiesa rumoured to be heading out the Anfield exit door.
Yet even with Mitoma becoming a star in the Premier League with Brighton, the Amex Stadium side’s demands for the wide-forward are simply too much for Liverpool to actually consider, with £80m an overinflation of the attacker’s true value.
Mitoma was once viewed as one of the most exciting talents in the Premier League, with the winger playing a huge role in Brighton qualifying for Europe for the first time in the 2022/23 season under Roberto De Zerbi.
Yet two years on from that campaign, and Mitoma’s value and form has taken a drastic hit, with the former Kawasaki Frontale simply not as appealing as he once was, and Liverpool will be fully aware of this behind the scenes.
At 27-years-old, Mitoma does not fit the profile for what the Reds are looking for this season in terms of a new attacker, and with Brighton demaning £80m for the attacker, there are better options out ther ein the market for Slot’s side to target.
