Liverpool are beginning to put plans in place for what is likely to be a busy summer transfer window.
The Reds are set to need more than a few new faces as Arne Slot begins to shape the team in his own image.
One of the major changes to Slot’s side will be what happens in terms of a starting right-back.
With Trent Alexander-Arnold increasingly likely to join Real Madrid, Liverpool know they will need a different solution next season.
Conor Bradley is a strong candidate to take over duties from Alexander-Arnold, but the Reds could also look to the transfer market.
And while links to Jeremie Frimpong continue to arrive, a new name has now been put forward as a potential target for Liverpool.

Whether Bradley steps up to the plate or not this summer, Liverpool will need a new addition at right-back one way or another.
One potential route for Slot to take is to bring in more of a back-up player who could push Bradley for a starting spot.

With that in mind, Rayo Vallecano right-back Andrei Ratiu is the latest to be linked with a summer move to Anfield.
Romanian outlet Pro Sport report that Liverpool have ‘joined the race’ to sign Ratiu, who is also reportedly drawing interest from Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Having been in good form for Rayo, the 26-year-old is said to have a chance for a ‘super transfer’ this summer, with Villarreal also interested having retained 50 per cent of Ratiu’s rights.
Any interested club will reportedly have to pay the Romanian’s release clause, which stands at around £21m.
With Alexander-Arnold likely to leave, Liverpool are set to see a plethora of right-backs linked to the club over the coming months.
Given the fact he turns 27 in June, would be relatively expensive for a back-up and has spent a portion of his career in the lower leagues, though, Ratiu would not seem a natural target.
Still, the 29-cap Romania international has had a good season with Rayo and is clearly talented.
Having spent time previously at Villarreal, SD Huesca and ADO Den Haag in the Netherlands, a step up to any of Liverpool, Real Madrid or Barcelona would clearly be a huge one for Ratiu to take.
You can never say never in the market and if Liverpool want a back-up for Bradley then it’s impossible to say which direction they will take.
