According to TeamTalk, Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike is ‘very interested’ in moving to the Premier League this summer, with Liverpool one of four English sides keeping tabs on the Bundesliga star’s situation.
As per the report, Frankfurt believe they can recoup as much as £70m for Ekitike in the transfer window, who this season has been one of the breakout stars in Europe having hit 21 goals in all competitions for Eintracht.
Ekitike has been linked with Liverpool in recent weeks with the Reds viewing the France youth international as a cheap alternative to Alexander Isak, who Newcastle United value as highly as £150m this summer.

And with Ekitike interested in moving to England, Liverpool’s case to land the former PSG wonderkid has only grown stronger, with the Reds in an excellent position to sign the 22-year-old attacker depsite rival interest from Premier League sides.
Ekitike has had an interesting career having been viewed as a failure at PSG before reinventing his career in Germany with Frankfurt, where the striker has established himself as one of the most exciting youngsters in the world.
And for a Liverpool side who are looking for a new leading attacker, Ekitike ticks all the boxes Slot is looking for in a striker, with the youngster a player who could become the new spearhead for the Reds alongside Salah next season.
Indeed, negotiating a fee with Frankfurt will be tricky with Ekitike’s price tag only increasing with every game, and Liverpool would be wise to make an early move for the French youngster if they’re to secure the striker’s signature this summer.
